I think the Hawks with Al healthy are > the Hornets. On the Wizards I think if Ariza leaves they drop below us too.

Always interesting to get the odds from a knowledgeable 3rd party and there's nothing like Vegas tagging the odds...

1st thought: NYK is ahead of us and we're as far behind them as BOS is behind us... Ouch.
2nd thought: I guess this would be what I expected. The upper crust is CHI, IND, and the LeBrons with a large pack of mediocre teams behind them. I would have hoped to be higher in that pack of mediocre teams though. I mean, this has us in a scrum with the "non-Lebrons" (whoever doesn't land him out of CLE/MIA) and BRK for 9th in the East. I know the arguments that "so-and-so won't be that good" and "we will be better [cite Horford; defense; etc]" but this is pretty d@mning. We know we played over our heads last season and we also know that teams will catch up to us and our record will eventually be closer to our talent level. Looks like the neutral 3rd party is expecting this to happen sooner over later and Ferry simply isn't doing enough to keep us ahead of that wave.
