Normally, I would prefer an owner that's worth billions, but in this case, I would have to know what backers he has behind him. Right now, we're viewed poorly amongst players and fan, so I believe Chris Webber could help improve that. On the other hand, does he keep us competitive?

Yep it seems legit, I just saw an official statement on his twitter profile that his business group has been approved to start talks with the NBA about the possibilities

I'm cool with it as long as they buy all of the ASG out. I will not be happy, no matter who the new owners are, if Gearon remains an owner.

He said he'd like to keep the team in Atlanta "forever" so he's fine by me.

I don't think this matters much. The NBA will never let a group move away from Atlanta. We are one of the more important markets for this league.
