Bring Jeremy Lamb back to Atlanta!

I watch a lot of OKC games, and Jeremy Lamb is really starting to show signs of potential greatness.
In his last 4 games, he has 64 points (16.0 ppg) on 21-27 shooting, 10-12 from 3.
This season he is a 43.4% 3-point shooter thus far.
He has always had a beautiful stroke, but what may be the most promising thing from him is he is finally showing signs of being able to play good defense in this league. He still has mental lapses, but i believe he will get there.
A future backcourt of Dennis Schroeder & Jeremy Lamb (2 future allstars imo) could be special. It could be a different but similar version of Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen. Plus they are both freakishly long so they could wreak havok.
I dont know exactly how the hawks would get him, but i would try to if i were them.

This would suggest some sort of re-build move if we were to get Lamb. Because it doesn't make any sense to give up any of our starters to get him because that wouldn't help us stay competitive. And we don't have a bench piece worthy enough to return lamb imo.

Is Lamb a Buds' type of player? Buds seems to like defense oriented wing players first, and i don't think Lamb is that kind of player.
I do like Lamb, but the Hawks don't make good trading partners with the Thunder. I would just rather wait for Lamb to hit free agency because i don't think he will alot of offers.
Lamb is doing well for now, but i think he will come back down when Westbrook and Durant come back

Swap Schröeder for Lamb, win for both teams, specially if OKC loses Jackson like it looks.

Not a chance in hell. We will look into signing Lamb since he is a RFA this year.

So... 4 games erases 2 years of not being able to overtake our #3 wing? Seems legit.
Look, I actually like Lamb. His per-(36/40/48) numbers are actually pretty good. The problem is that those lapses that you suggest are fixable have always been a part of his game. Some really good coaches haven't been able to solve that problem so thinking that they'll magically disappear because you want them to is a bit optimistic. Considering we've got a team that is a legit ECF contender, I don't see any way we'd be trading for young players who are more prospect than contributor this season.

he was always better than thabo, starting or not. & I think he is much more contributor than prospect imo.
Schroeder-Lamb-?????-milsap-horford could be a scary lineup by next year

I don't watch OKC a whole lot. I think they are MEGA overrated. Their system sucks, it's about 1-1 basketball. That's why they struggle mightily in the playoffs every year. From the little I've seen from Lamb, I do not think he brings anything that's that special either on the offensive or defensive end.

OKC's offensive system is indeed terrible, but they've been pretty darn successful in the playoffs.
In 2014 and 2012 thay made it (at least) to the Conf Finals losing to the eventual World Champions.
2013 was marred by injury.
The Thunder traded a top 20 player for table scraps and STILL managed to remain a top 5 team in the league.

Sure, if the Thunder need a salary dump I'm sure the Hawks would love to have him. Maybe swap out Jenkins and the rights to Patterson for him but that's as far as I think Bud/Ferry would go value-wise.
