Steve Kerr, Thibs and whomever coaches MEM as his primary competition...

They split awards monthly and weekly by conference but for the year they do it overall. Bud & Kerr will fight it out, but I wish both could get it.

This is how I feel. I think at the end of the year, the COTY award should go to one coach from each conference.

If he didn't win coach of the month this award would have absolutely 0 validity, well done coach!!

Well deserved. I do not know if he's the best coach in the league but he's definitely the best one for the talent we got and style we should play.

Bud has one more year left on his contract after this season, I hope we lock him down long term as soon as humanly possible.

Indeed. Outside of SAS bringing him back to replace Pop (A plausible if unlikely scenario), i can't see the man giving up the power he's accrued in ATL.

Unless the new owner walks in and demands changes on the basketball side of the house as well...
