Here's what's on the line fellas..it's not about the streak. It's about what the streak lead to.

All the Hawks did was throw up prayers that first quarter. Bad shot selection and not hitting them.

They seem to have hit a wall.

Teague having another horrendous game at the rim. Doesn't do any good to get to the rim if you can't finish when you get there.

This is one of those games where you can just tell the Hawks are going to lose. They flat out can't stop AD and at the half Asik alreadyf has 10+ rebounds. We aren't hitting squat. Just not gonna happen tonight.

I still believe. The law of averages. They are killing us with jumpers, we are hitting none.

Yeah, we've bee a bit lax the last couple of games, but still managed to beat bad teams. Tonight, we weren't able to recover.

In all honesty, we need a loss like this to prevent complacency from setting in. Rather we put up a stinker tonight, than againt GS in the biggest regular season game of the year.

But yeah...defense and rebounding are taking hits tonight.

The Hawks as a whole just aren't finishing around the rim. Nothing drives me crazier than watching us get to the rim with ease but not being able to finish.

Yeah, right after my "law of averages" post we blow 4 layups.

Yea I don't think anyone believed your law of averages post to begin with. We haven't been hitting all night. Just not our night.

Hell of a run. Had to end eventually.

Hopefully we get our real starting lineup back for the next game. Our bench is missing alot with Thabo missing, his defense is a big difference.

But what does make me feel good is that the same formula for beating us is existing....shoot lights out from the perimeter. I like our chances in the playoffs if people are depending on the jumper to beat us.

Nothing to do with being out-rebounded by 20 and giving up 17 offensive boards?

No one else concerned about that?

I don't know what it is with Asik, but whenever he plays our undersized frontcourt, he puts up career type production as a starter.

In two games as a starter this season: 9 ppg and 13 rpg

In two games as a starter during 2012-1013 season: 5 ppg and 18 rpg

Which doesn't even include the 10 points 9 rebounds he put up against us last season off the bench. (When Horford was still healthy)

Unrelated Observation: And K Bazemore is clearly better suited as energy guy off the bench.

Maybe this will take the pressure off of the next game.

A note...

Ever since the Indy game where he went off, Pero has been horrible. He is 7/30 fg, 2/16 from 3. He did only play 6 minutes this past game but still. Those numbers are killing us in sub time.

and folks still run out to challenge Antic, I'd back off if I were the opponent. If he hits 2 of 5 or so, I'll tip my hat, lol
