Look at all those Hawks in NYC!!

The event im most looking forward to this year is defensively the 3 point contest. I hope the final three comes down to steph, Klay, and Korver.

Vegas odds:

-Korver is the runner up to win the 3PT contest, after Curry
- Teague is the favorite to win the Skills Challenge. Dennis is tied with Payton and Beverely for least favored.
- Teague and Korver are getting 50:1 odds to win All Star MVP. Al and Millsap are getting 75:1.

Anyone else think it's starting to get a little excessive with all the Hawks....

Yes! But after a quarter century of being underrepresented at these events....I'm okay with it.

If MIL comes out the gate next year and dominates the league, I would similarly understand if the league went overboard recognizing one great season amidst decades of irrelevance.

My biggest issues:

Our guys could use a rest. A week off would be great for Horford and Millsap.

I don't want Bud using our system with the EC All Stars. They are the enemy. I want to maintain any semblance of competitive advantage we have right now.

Somewhere in CLE, CHI and WAS this entire next week...all the assistant coaches and video coordinators will be reviewing video attempting to orchestrate a game plan to defeat us. I don't want LeBron, Pau or Wall going back to their coaching staffs with extra insight into how are offense works.

I was worried about Bud using our offensive scheme in the all star game too, but I don't think he'll do anything more than sub guys in and out, and act as a figurehead. Bud could use this to our advantage, maybe Lebron or Jimmy Butler (if he plays) get some extra minutes out there.

Schröder has been setting up his teamates beautifuly. Leads all players at the half with most assists (8?)

Indeed. he imopressed some of the talking heads at ESPN also:

Dennis Schroder, Hawks | Grade: A

Stats: 13 PTS (6-11) | 0 REB | 9 AST | 3 STL | 0 BLK

Analysis: He was a magician out there. With Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer in the audience, Schroder cut into the paint and floated some picture-perfect lobs to Gobert. He looked like a young Tony Parker out there, slicing into the lane and laying it up easily.

Gobert and Gorgui looked fantastic out there. Burns me up we picked the lone young center form that draft that has drastically lagged behind the rest. I'd love to hear what our scouts were thinking when passing on the other more accomplished players in that draft.

NOTE: Had Ferry actually traded Josh Smith to MIL that year, we'd likely have Giannis on our roster right now also.

:banghead:

Dissapointing All Star night for the Hawks other than Nique winning the shooting stars challenge. Korver knocked out of the first round of the 3 point contest, Dennis knocked out in the first round of the skills challenge, and Teague getting cocky in the 2nd round of the skills challenge which led to him getting knocked out by Beverly.

Its funny that Korver did poorly in the 3pt contest, but then in the all star game, he ended up out performing both splash brothers combined, going for 7 of 12 from the three point line, while Curry and Klay combined, went for 4 for 19 from the three point line, and Korver ended up having the best 3pt performance overall in the game.
