2015 Draft Prospect: Porzingis Named Eurocup Rising Star

Kristaps Porzingis of Baloncesto Seville has been named the winner of the 2014-15 Eurocup Rising Star Trophy.
The 19-year-old Latvian big man comes off a strong season - his second in the competition - for Seville, which he led to the Eurocup Last 32. The Eurocup Rising Star Trophy recognizes the most outstanding player in the competition who was younger than 22 years of age on July 1 of the summer before the season started.
Despite coming off the bench for all but three games this season and averaging less than 21 minutes per night, Porzingis led his team in scoring (186 points in 16 games, 11.6 ppg.) and index rating (13.1), while adding 4.1 rebounds and a team-best 1.2 blocks.
