Coach Bud named COTY

http://www.peachtreehoops.com/2015/4/21 ... ce=twitterAtlanta Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer has been named as the NBA's Coach of the Year for the 2015 season. The Hawks came out of nowhere to win 60 games and ran away with the Eastern Conference.
Budenholzer finishes 42 points ahead of Golden State's Steve Kerr who was second. Milwaukee's Jason Kidd finished third in his first year with the Bucks. Budenholzer received 67 first place votes.
Budenholzer is currently in his second season in Atlanta and has amassed a 98-66 record over that span. Atlanta forced top seeded Indiana to seven games before falling in the first round of the Playoffs last season. The Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the first round this season with a win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.
Budenholzer is the first Hawks coach to win the award since Lenny Wilkens in 1994. He is the first individual award winner for the team since Jamal Crawford was named Sixth Man of the Year in 2010.

Very well deserved.
The single most important move Danny Ferry made as GM.
Dude is a keeper. Hope he becomes the Bobby Cox of Hawks basketball. Except with MORE titles...and not being fired and all.

Great Job since Coach Budz got here. He not only instilled a good system, but he is establishing a great culture here in Atlanta, just like what Bobby Cox did.

Congrats to Coach Bud, it's amazing what he done with this franchise the past two year, especially this season winning key games like CLE in March and GS.
