Congrats to the Hawks on new ownership. Perhaps this new group can usher in new marketable ideas to boost the Hawks in popularity and get more ppl in the city involve with the team.

Glad Koonin is staying. He clearly has made strides with his efforts to repair/rebuild/rebrand the Hawks during his time here.

Not overwhelmingly excited that yet another group of investors are owners. Hopefully, Ressler is the majority owner and already has plans to retain Budenholzer long-term.

TBH its really really difficult to find a billionaire owner like Marc Cuban whos a fan and is involved day to day. I think the fact Grant Hill is attached is great news, hes an NBA player, smart guy, he will have SOME influence. I hope they find a way to include Wilkins as well in some capacity in the future

I don't think anyone can come to any conclusions on Ferry just yet based off a tweet that doesn't even reference him. Bud is a Ferry guy and Hill of course is a Dukie, the ink isn't even dry on the sale for them to have already addressed such a big aspect of the franchise yet alone come to a conclusion on it.

Current co-owner Michael Gearon Jr. will also retain a small percentage of the franchise. The group will also include several other minority investors. Itzler is a season-ticket holder for the Hawks and has done consulting work for the organization.

Adam Silver adamantly supports Hawks in Atlanta. they arent moving, especially after the season they JUST had. Everything is peaking .

That would seem to be the actual sale price if it's being reported by Bloomberg, the numbers listed in the 800s seem to include the debt that the owners are also assuming.

Yep. The above makes me feel it's more likely that Hawks stay in Atlanta. And Ferry stays on Leave of Absence.
