I'm assuming this is about the ashley madison as campaign. Therefore, im not even going to click the link. That doesnt deserve a view. I usually dont get upset about stuff like this, but really, how much more tacky can you be?

Agreed.

I like Koonin and all he's done since he got here. But this is...pushing the boundaries of good taste. I get wanting to appeal to Millenials. But at some point you have to remember that most of the fanbase...are adults and/or children.

This ad campaign is off-putting to huge part of their customer base.

But any press is good press, right? And this is getting a ton of it.

I think Koonin has smartly established what portion of the population will (and has) move(d) the needle as far as the fanbase is concerned and sadly that demographic isn't middle aged family men and women. The irony here of course is that middle aged family men and women make up the majority of the subscribers to Ashley Madison.

if you're not going to view the actual ad but make assumptions why are you upset when you don't know what the ACTUAL content is?

I agree. People really need to watch the video before they start talking about it. It is NOTHING at all like the tinder campaign.

I read the description of the ad. I know what it says. I dont have to watch the video to know my opinion of it. I dont want to watch the video b.c that is just one more view on this youtube video. By viewing it, i would be inadvertently supporting it. By pushing up its views.

Now this is hot. Probably my favorite marketing ad of the Koonin era.
