This would be a great game to win, and we should seeing as how the match is at home. I think tonight will mark the beginning of a good run of success for the Hawks.

The Atlanta Hawks have not performed at a particularly high level in recent days, and as a result, a report has emerged that Mike Budenholzer could be considering a change to the team's starting lineup.

Indeed.
I
REALLY want AL to stop shooting so many threes.
He used to connect on 54% of his attempts. That amount has plummeted since he began to focus so much on the outside game....

We're shooting too many threes. We allow too many offensive boards. We are struggling....

Exactly, out rebounded 54-37 and 8 for 33 from three will lose you games almost everytime. The chemistry on this team is way off from last year. Unfortunately I'm thinking that We miss DeMarre badly cause we play like we still have him. It should be more of an inside objective wth the Splitter addition but instead we have Horford playing the DeMarre's role to much. Horford shot more three's(5) than he had rebounds(4). That should never happen, Teague doesn't look in sync. This team looks like a knockoff/ off-brand version of last year's team.

YES!!!
Between Horford and Tiago struggling to dominate the inside....I'm thinking the scheme is not allowing them to operate effectively.

I am still.ofnthe opinion we need to upgrade the backup point or have another player that can run the offense, not necessarily a point. Here is the thing, more often than mot last year when Teague was off, Dennis would come in and bail us out. When Teague was on we were fine. This year its 100% as Teague goes so goes the team. Teague went into a good 10 game funk last year....i am not sure we could survive that next year. Even if we move Teague, we would still need to pick up a guy to back up that guy because, and people can still say it's early, I just don't think this kid is ever going to get it.

Al has more games (6) where he has failed to grab even 5 rebounds than he has games where he's reached at least 10 rebounds (5) on the season now. He has an additional 6 games where he's failed to reach even his season average of 7. We can blame Bud's scheme all we want but it's looking more and more like he has 2 All Stars that have completely checked out in Al and Jeffrey with a 3rd All Star who is understandably failing to live up to God status at age 34. I think where they miss DeMarre the most is in the locker room, he would shame guys for this kind of putrid effort.

Shots just weren't falling, and our players looked far too content with taking jumpshots even though they weren't falling. Only one who was consistently getting to the rim and trying to make something happen was Bazemore. We need to go on a good run in these next 6 games.

From myAJC
Regarding 33 3-point attempts:
Coach Bud wrote:We shoot a lot of 3’s. When you are playing out of a hole, we were down double-digits the entire second half. … You may shoot a few more 3’s when you are down trying to dig yourself out of a hole. We shoot 3’s in general. I’d like to make more.
Regarding missed shots
Kyle Korver wrote:We just couldn’t make shots and it kind of kills your energy. We missed open looks. The energy just goes down. We have to be mentally tougher than that. At the end of day this is a make or miss league. Right now, we are missing a lot of shots.
Regarding which side of the ball is struggling the most:
AL Horford wrote:It’s a little frustrating because we are really close but at the same time really far. Defensively, our effort was good again. I felt like we were doing a good job. Obviously, you always have breakdowns but I was pleased how we were playing on defense. Offensively, for some reason, we are struggling – all of us. It’s just the way it is.
Jeff Teague wrote:You have to score to win games. We are putting so much pressure on our defense every night. We are playing good defense. We just aren’t giving ourselves a chance on the other end.
