Dwight Howard is unhappy or the media is just stirring things up.
I expect rumors to continue until the off-season until Dwight decides to opt out of his contract or not.
Would you like to see Atlanta put a package together to acquire him?

Houston is losing and won't make the playoffs. I don't have any pitty for Dwight but i understand that at his age, he could be ring chasing.

I dont really care about his future, and no I am 1000% against trading anything for him unless its like THJ and a 2nd round pick straight up and Houston agrees to pay all his salary this year.

I get the skepticism. But I believe all the D12 hate is overblown. he is older, and arrogant and overrated.

But he's great at what he does: Rebounding, shotblocking, owning the paint.

Now, there should absolutely be pause in bringing him in. But if the goal is a championship, a healthy Dwight Howard absolutely has the tools to assist in a title run.

The media hates his guts and that has permeated greatly how people look at him today.

But Do we really doubt he could dominate Pau or Mozgov or Hassaun in a playoff series?

He absolutely undressed Tyson Chandler last playoffs in the first round. He held his own against Deandre Jordan. It's not as if he just can't play basketball anymore. Underwhelming is not the same as flat out awful. And if we're swapping expiring contracts to do it...it's really no harm no foul.

I dont think we need him to dominate Pau or Moz or anyone else. And, when it gets TOUGH, he will mentally check out on the team. Hes done it so many times now.

What's he done in the last two years?

I don't watch ESPN as much and don't keep up with players quite the same.

But what actual, concrete, childish antics has he been a part of?

So every team he goes to becomes a soap opera about him staying or leaving.

Hes always disgruntled.

Hes a coach killer.

Hes struggled to play next to other talent his whole career.

Hes a whiner and not mentally tough.

Hes never developed his game, hes gotten by on raw talent,size,athleticism.

He takes plays off.

This very story coming out is NOTHING new about Dwight. He is unhappy, because he wants to be catered too, AGAIN.

The Orlando Saga was ALL HIS DOING. Leaking this, then denying it, then leaking it again, then opting into a contract because he wasnt sure what he wanted to do then complaining and being traded later.

Hes a clown, always has been. He went to the finals ONCE and he has been riding that **** for years.

I think Dwight Howard is and has always been a tool. That said, I think at this stage of his career he's matured a lot and does actually care about winning. He's pretty visibly frustrated playing with Harden who plays absolutely no D. Also, for all the talk about the lack of his mental toughness, he absolutely blew up the Blazers in the playoffs two years ago and was no slouch in last season's playoffs.

My big concern with him is actually how quickly he's going to deteriorate. His game is almost entirely dependent on his athleticism, and he's clearly begun his decline in that regards.

I think Dwight will ALWAYS have old man strength so he'll always be a solid post defender and good at boxing out/getting rebounds. However, his quickness and explosiveness are dropping off which will make him a bigger liability on PnR, and let's be real, post defense means **** these days except against a small handful of players, none of whom play on good teams.

I just cant believe people would want THIS Dwight Howard over the possibility of resigning Al Horford.

I was all in with D12 with AF playing PF.

You all realize hes in line for (and wants ) a MAX CONTRACT next year? So you want to pay bum knee, bad back, torn labrum, team killer D12 $25 million a year>?

Forgot to mention - trading for Dwight puts us in an awkward position with Millsap and Al, since none of them is going to want to be coming off the bench.

Contracts also become an issue because Dwight is getting paid big money which means we need to do some cap gymnastics.

Also, Dwight doesn't seem to want to play in Atlanta.

Bottom line - there are a lot of issues in trading for Dwight. I'd much rather us be the third team in a trade, where we'd send out bench assets for a true starting-caliber two-way wing.

Horford, Scott, Mack for Dwight Howard.

Yeah. Agreed. His health issues are my biggest concerns moving forward. Acknowledging his immaturity issues as well...

I also rarely watch ESPN and it's mainly due to how much negativity they project to the world.
Normally it's only when I'm at a bar.
