We could jump Boston by the end of the night.

That mighty defense is nowhere to be found in this first quarter, so far.

Yes so much for all that bragging on the d,allowing 30...now 30 for the 2nd half would be nice.

Ugly defense and the pistons hitting almost every shot isn't going to end well

Very true.
Boston is hosting OKC and won't win unless OKC has a meltdown during the 4th.

Detroit currently leads 72-70

Beautiful defense by Thabo in the 4th and great team effort overall. I'm starting to get excited to see what this team can do in the playoffs.

Millsap misses two straight FTs with 30 seconds left.

Pistons get a three point play on the other end.

Doh. If they hadn't been jacking up three pointers for the last four minutes, Detroit might have taken control down the stretch.

Great W, aided by the hack-a-Drummond. That's 8 wins out of the last 10, we pass Boston, and set our sights on third.

Hawks hold on for the win.

Nice comeback in the 2nd half.

We need a go to player down the stretch of tight games.

I love watching AL Horford play basketball.

This team is a joy to watch when Teague and shredder are both on their games.

Al has to be that go-to player. He's statistically one of the clutchest players in the league, he just needs to DEMAND the rock. This is his team, I wish he'd like it more often.

Hope they continue like that.
ATL is at 2-1 Vs BOS at this moment, one last game on Apr. 9
Vs MIA, it's 1-2 and no game left so we need to finish with a better record to be ahead of them.
The 3rd place would be a good thing, home court advantage in first round and avoiding CLE until ECF

Horford hasn't never been the go to guy simply because he doesn't have that in him. He's as good as we have seen but lacks both the physicality and the mentality to demand the ball. Can we just bench Millsap the last 5 mins of the 4th quarter? He's just a disaster come crunch time. Dennis has a bright future. I'm not so sure about Bazemore's.
GO HAWKS.

When Millsap missed those two FT's and Detroit turned around and hit a 3 on the other end, I really thought we were going to somehow blow it. Good come from behind W. Let's get that 3rd seed!

Don't like looking ahead too much given the many letdowns this season but the team has only 5 games left against 3 teams above .500 (Detroit and Chicago are hovering right at .500), they have every opportunity to close this out strong.

8 of the 14 are at home and we only have 1 B2B left as well. We will get a good idea of where we stand against the best in the East with 2 games against both Cleveland and Toronto and 1 vs Boston.

We are 4-10 in games decided by 3 points or less in regulation + OT games. We were 5-4 in those situations last season.

Not only that, but last season we did have many games where we ended up pulling it out in the clutch (after blowing a big lead), and winning by a score of more than 3 points. Last season's team had that clutch, this season's team doesn't, and that's the main difference from last year.
