The league is set to make even more money off advertising now.

The National Basketball Association on Friday said its board of governors have agreed to allow the logos of a corporate sponsor to appear on game jerseys starting with the 2017-18 season.

As a huge football/soccer fan, i don't really care. I hope they offset it with something else though.

Should leave it to just the Nike check. Not sure how I'll feel about a "Georgia Lotto" or "Chick-fil-A" patch. For me it always made sense in soccer because you can't cram 1,000 commercial breaks into a match so you can suffer a loss of jersey aesthetics in return for ad revenue. In the NBA though......you already have a corporate logo on the stadium, on the court, on the stanchions, on the backboard, in every section of seating, on the jumbotron, on the scorers table, every segment is brought to you by sponsor x, and oh yea, the 1,000 commercial breaks. But hey, whatever helps the owners cry poverty at the next CBA meetings.

NBA is a business. It's about making money no matter what they try to tell you.
A 2.5x2.5 Inch square will not disrupt my viewing pleasure.
