Dunleavy

If Chicago needs to shed salary for D Wade I'd gladly take on Mike Dunleavy and Jose Calderon. They are both great shooters and with Dwight Howard in the fold we need shooting. If we trade them Sefolosha and three non-guaranteed contracts (Scott, Muscala, Patterson) I think it could for both parties. We could also re-sign Humphries.

Hawks have alittle over 7 million in cap space. Jose's contract is 7 million. Dunlevey makes 5 million. Bulls will have to give up a better asset on a cheaper contract like Portis or McDermott rather then Dunleavy.

Absolutely. If we're using up cap on those old players who don't play defense, I'd want at least a first rounder.

I agree.
I was draft compensation by way of a future first round pick (protected or not protected).

^ I agree, a protected first round pick would do.

I would start the negotiations with top five protected for 2017 and 2018 and then unprotected in 2019

Wade as agreed to join the Chicago Bulls.

Dwyane Wade has reportedly agreed to sign with the Bulls, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
Chicago has been shopping Jose Calderon and Mike Dunleavy to shed salaries, but they could also waive Calderon and use the 'stretch provision' to clear significant cap space. The Bulls' interest in Wade is two-fold, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, as they hope to be more competitive this season while also luring max-level free agents in 2017. Wade is from Chicago and it sounds like he's heading home after spending 13 seasons with the Heat, the only franchise he's played for since entering the NBA in 2003.

I hate that Chicago gave Dunleavy to the Cavs

Well, hawkschop....that all happened quick.
Jose Calderon has been traded to the Lakers for two future second round picks.

Yes, and I don't think either would help us win games vs the cost to bring them here.

I'm glad the Hawks didn't get Dunleavy. The Hawks can use their cap space to get a better player than Dunleavy.
