Woot! Glad the Hawks found a way to bring him back. If nothing else, between a full year of Humph and Dwight, our rebounding should be much improved.

I assume it's:

Dennis/Delaney/Jack
Korver/Hardaway/Patterson/Bremby
Baze/Thabo/Prince
Millsap/Scott/Muscula
Dwight/Splitter/Humphries/Tavares

I assume Patterson is gone. Not sure who the 2nd guy will be.

As of this moment I'd guess Patterson and Muscala.

Of course I don't know if Bud has a Splitter trade up his sleeve or if Scott gets suspended, but right now Patterson and Muscala are the only ones in that group with unguaranteed contracts.

This is a great resigning!

Hawks now have 3 PFs who can shoot the three, Sap, Scott, Hump, they can space the floor for Dwight.

I think the Hawks are good with the current roster but I would be trying to trade Splitter for a draft pick or international stash. Maybe Splitter to Memphis for Rade Zagorac, or Splitter to New Orleans for Cheick Diallo.

I'm guessing Patterson first then muscala is odd man out.

Today on 680 Kincade said his well placed source in the Hawks says Korver WILL NOT BE A STARTER this season. They want him 14-16 minutes .

Plot thickens

Dennis/Delaney/jack
Thj/korver
Baze/thabo/prince
Millsap/Scott/KH
D12/SPLITTER/TAvares

That leaves Bembry and..... I m missing someone

Moose is out. They could ask Bembry to spend a year overseas , like Moose did in his first season.

Very happy about having him for another season.
This time a full season so we'll see what the future holds for him.

After the way Hump played last year, I am all for making him the rotation guy for Sap/Dwight. Excellent as bbq99 said......

Patterson has an un-guaranteed contract, Moose's doesn't become fully guaranteed until January.
I smell a trade though (possibly to Brooklyn)
I don't think anyone gets released now unless Patterson and Moose have other NBA guarantees and aske to be release.
They'll be here through training camp since we can carry 20 players.
Depends on what occurs with Mike Scott today - he's also in the mix.

Not many american born 1st round picks are asked to play overseas - high unlikely.
Moose was a 2nd round pick so he didn't have a guaranteed contract.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Ive also heard unequivocally that Bembry/Prince/Delaney are all on the team. They may rotate to the D League, but none of them are going overseas.

I think Bud is going to try a little youth movement.

My Guess is opening night we see:

DS/Delaney/Jack
THJ/Korver
Baze/Thabo/
PM/KH/Scott
D12/Splitter (if healthy)

Prince-D LEAGUE
Bembry-D LEAGUE
Muscala-DNP CD
Patterson-CUT

Wow, that would be shocking to not see Korver starting.....I'm waiting for that to happen first.

I see D12/Korver/Baze/Sap/Dwight.........2 new starters will be huge for this team.
I also see Thabo/Prince in the SF role, with Baze sharing minutes with Korver.

Very interested to see what we have in Delaney now that we've signed him for 2 years. It would surprise me to see Jack ready on opening night, so we might have another PG in the mix until then.

I dont think you see Jack on opening night, prob not even Splitter.

But i just meant they are on the team, you can only dress 12, and carry 15. Based on EVERYTHING we have seen from BUD, i have a hard time thinking that 2 rookies are going to get any playing time in the first 30-40 games.

You forgot Tavares...

DAMNIT.

So they have to cut Patterson and Muscala then right? the only issue i have with cutting Muscala is you are asking Bud to go to a TRUE traditional Center now. Your only "stretch" option would be KH. For a position he seemed to value "shooting" it would be a big departure to go away from that. But signing KH may mean you see him as their "shooting" 5?

D12/Splitter/Tavares cant shoot outside 7 feet. So..............
