Dennis Schroder All Star Watch

Post#1 » by atlantabbq99 » Tue Jul 12, 2016 5:45 am

Kyrie Irving, John Wall, Kyle Lowry, Isiah Thomas

Those are the guys who are going to be vying for a spot on the eastern all star team.

Schroeder will get Teague's minutes now and will have the opportunity to put up Teague numbers.

All eyes will be on Schroeder this season, both inside Atlanta and outside Atlanta and international fans. If Schroeder can average 18ppg, with .420FG%, .330% from three, shooting, he could be knocking at the door for an all star spot, getting pass one of the three of Wall, Lowry, or Isiah.

Add Kemba Walker to that list. Hornets were 48-34 and he put up 20.9ppg/4.4rpg/5.2apg/.427FG%/.371 3pt%/.847FT% and wasn't selected to the All Star Game.

I'm doubtful the coaches in the East would nominate DS for an All Star selection this early in his career.

But I think there's a good chance Jeff Teague puts up career numbers this season. He's healthy, in a contract year, on his hometown team.

I predict he puts up 18 & 8 for a resurgent Pacers team and nabs one of the spots for himself.

I think he could grow into an all star at some point in his prime (gotta fix the 3 point % though) but not quite yet.

Is Schroeder really as good or better than Teague?

Record really matters when coaches select for all stars. a big reason why Teague was selected as an all star is because the Hawks had the best record in the NBA.

If the Hawks have a good record by the all star break, maybe they take 2-3 Hawks, and Schroeder might be one of them?
