Hawks intro PC for Dwight

Post#1 » by td00 » Wed Jul 13, 2016 3:50 pm

Dwight has a new jersey number:

8

He said it takes about an hour to explain it, but I'm sure there are a few here who might have an idea. One article on this:

Baze is staying at 24.

So looks like Prince is going to be able to keep 12.

I think otherwise Prince would rock 21 like he did at Baylor. I wonder what Bembry will go to with Kris returning
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Dwight Howard cries at Hawks introductory press conference

Hawks center Dwight Howard couldn’t help but tear up at his introductory press conference on Wednesday.

Meeting the media for the first time as a member of the Hawks, Howard began to discuss being back in Atlanta, and starting a “new beginning.” He then mentioned that he would share the moment with his family, and began to cry.
Here

It's refreshing to see that it means so much to him.

Hope his tenure here is the start of great things in Atlanta...

Nique disapproves.

Not caring what the media thinks, which is the same tone this team takes, I am totally buying into this deal.

If Dwight can't fulfill this contract, you can't blame the organization for the risk they took instead of standing pat and watching Cleveland roll all over us. Is it enough? Perhaps not, but this is a huge step.

A nice turnout for today's PC, which sure didn't appear to have Hawks fans down about the upcoming season. Very enthusiastic.

Agreed. I'm iffy on how much better of a team it makes you guys, but staying pat another year for the same 50 win, 2nd round out is pointless.

& The contract isn't bad at all. Howard for Horford swap i think benefits you guys, but the Teague deal was just kinda bland. Shoulda gotten more for him.

Edit ** - Good for Dwight. Finally stopped tryna be like everyone else. Think he's gonna be a beast this year.

Anyone disagree with me in that D8 should be a regular 20/12 guy this season? I'm hearing no concerns about his health, and its a fresh start with plenty of talent around him. IMO, he'll get more touches this year out of the gate and will be very attracted to Bud's system. And he acknowledged he hasn't believed in a coach since Van Gundy.

The preseason will be very interesting in getting the guys to start jelling.

That will depend greatly on how much we de-emphasize Paul millsap's role in the offense.

And on the starting PG's ability to get D12 the ball in the right spots for easy buckets and one-on-one post opportunities.
