He got run out of NYfor undermining the previous regime with the Knicks. But he clearly knows Xs & Os and is also adept at player development.

Malik Rose was on NBARadio this morning. He had been a host so they were happy to see him having some success (GLeague team making the playoffs and whatnot).

Some tidbits ...

- Was asked how closely the GLeague system is to what the Hawks run? Said we're very similar. Coach L has option to add things, change plays, etc. but largely run similar systems to Hawks on both O and D. Added bonus is, when guys go up/come down, they aren't lost out there.

- Impact of Bazley's decision? - Says, overall, it's good for the GLeague since it could mean there will be higher-caliber guys in the league which will help in the continued growth.

- Was asked if the GLeague could become a legit spot for guys to come straight from HS and get a chance to develop?
Basically said it depends on the organization. Hawks GLeague staff has the option to call folks in the Hawks organization to discuss players, plan for development, etc.

Not news to some but was cool to see Erie get some air-time. They have officially been discussed more than the real Hawks. Yay?

It's gotta be frustrating for the G League regulars and coaches that these guys miss so much practice time but still get to play in the post-season games.

Either way, at least the Erie fans have gotten one last great season from the team before they lose the minor league franchise.

Kinda reminds me of Richmond losing the braves...

Maybe this game on ESPN news will be a better watch than the parent team losing to a bitter DC team.
