The Hawks are coming off a 104-94 loss at the Knicks Sunday, their second straight defeat. … They have won four straight at home and are second in the NBA in steals at 9.9 steals and forced turnovers at 17.0.

The Pelicans are coming off a 121-116 overtime home win over the Hornets Saturday. … Davis was named the Western Conference Player of the Week as he averaged an NBA-high 33.7 points, led the West with 13.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks, and added 2.0 steals. Here

D12 and Millsap are gonna have their hands full tonight.

Basketball is a game of runs, as is the season. The Hawks have just hit a snag, it happens. Just don't let it fester and seep. You can't be all glory to the Heavens when your 9-2 and things are working but when you go on a 3 game losing streak, you're now ready to jump ship. Margin is a concern though.

This is 100% correct. It'll be interesting to see how the team responds to this first bit of adversity. With DMC, Horford and (to a lesser extent) Teague all leaving in recent years -- we've lost a lot of veteran leadership. And guys like DS and D12 haven't exactly always been particularly mature in tough times.

The next 10 days will be illuminating as we get to see exactly what this group is made of.

Hawks offense is awful. I know Dwight is older, but man do they miss him in the post so often.
