Didn't think missing Oladipo made that much of a difference to their offense, but...

10 offensive rebounds in the first half for OKC. Coach Bud needs to give Humphries some PT, Muscala is providing absolutely nothing on either end so far.

And then OKC drops 36 points in the 2nd quarter. Oy...

Schroder and Millsap just carried us tonight. Bazemore was excellent overall as well. Man, what a win! (Note: our defense is still very concerning).

Yep, that Dennis Schroder kid is pretty good.

And he's only 23. He's going to get better.

Schroder also had another solid game. He finished with a team-high 31 points, including 18 in the first half. In the past 10 games, Schroder has two 31-point and a career-high 33 point game.

Korver said Budenholzer got on Schroder when the team was mired in a seven-game losing streak. Schroder responded.

“He is playing the best basketball of his career,” Korver said.

Schroder acknowledged the words from Budenholzer. “I just tried to do everything I can to win games. He got on me. He said do this, do that, do this. I just try to compete out there.”
Here

That Russell Westbrook cat is pretty solid, too.

And he was incensed after the buzzer:

Here are the final 3 shots from RW, we can judge for ourselves. I see a lot flailing around (saw it the entire night) but there's no way any of this warranted a foul call, especially in the final seconds.

He plays so unbelievably out of control.

If a coach could get him to harness all that effort and energy into an efficient offensive attack....man.

He reminds me of a young Mike Jordan under Doug Collins. He can get anywhere on the court with the ball, drop 40 points at will but is still unable to put it all together on a dominant team.

I'd move RW to Shooting Guard and play him next to a veteran, low usage, defensive ace at PG who can run a traditional offense when Westbrook starts playing out of control.

Hopefully this season will give Russ some humility and perspective. He simply cant do it all alone. He needs to depend on his teammates.

And call me crazy, but I think he and Oladipo would look damn good playing in the triangle offense. With VO serving as sidekick and Pippen-substitute.

Came here for this. I thought Westbrook got hit but the damn broadcast wouldn't show a quality replay so I couldn't tell! Now we know!

Good game, guys. Schroder lit us up and Millsap hit a nice shot at the end.

Yep, it's hard to deny this one. And, admittedly, it would have been a much different game if Oladipo and/or Dwight had played.

Are you guys pleased with the early play of Sabonis, Jr?

For the most part, yeah. Everyone is impressed with his consistency and smarts. He just needs to be more aggressive on offense. I'm not sure if that's his doing or Donovan's doing, but we could really use his scoring prowess and wits with Oladipo out.
