Statement: Atlanta are a good team, worthy of middle seeding in Eastern Conference at current pace, and they bring back Millsap. However they will never transcend that place, has an elite team.

Action Plan I want to take a page on the way Memphis/Boston does things, and incrementally grow, without going back to far in the suceeding, and really built around schroeder and a team thats ten deep, and Just beat people with there system and grinding it out.
I am trying to put together team thats incredible deep, with meaning role players, and breakout candiates

These 4 players have off the chart PER ratings and should pair well Schroeder and your starting five. What you guys loose in Bazemore you gain in aggregate with these guys very high on Kilpatrick, Booker, And Jonas. I love that chandler was healthy and shoot .46 from the field, even through he is three older than bazemore. I dont forsee a decline for him.
I also clear some cap space. Hollinger grading system give them + 4 on this deal

Draft pick we have one pick left #60 the world is are oyster here,I am tempted to go Euro but I have been reading about this Kevin Hervey not sure if he is eligible, but different type of a player, who can be a a huge find,given athletic and scoring ability. if not Peter Jok and chris boucher are worthy candidates. this is an offer rader move

Building a bench through free agency

after all this really dealing they will have 47m million to spend, likely hood of max not great given the pernicious rule about teams given there own players more money an extra year, Not in favor of giving Millsap that type of deal

Bojan Bogdanovic SG/SF, great 3 point shooter, playing well in washington, can be a volume scorer

Why this works, you are betting on the coaching staff that they can develop tremendous chemistry and they can develop players like Kilpatrick, Williams, Ingles ,Bembry, simmonds, Bogdanovic, into fringe starters and strong role players.

and you a great collection of valuable players in Booker ,Chandler, Teodosic. You have a great two man game Schoreder and Jonas V.

Any process that begins with clearing Dwight and Bazemore from our payroll is one I can support.

I do like Jonas V and would be interested to see what we could do with a player possessing his skill sets.

Losing those 2017 draft picks would hurt. But I acknowledge it's likely necessary at this point.

This is a solid approach that garners a solid 'B' from me.

This is HORRIBLE.
Trading Prince, 2017 1st, 2017 #31, Minny pick to get rid of Baze and Dwight? Hawks get a soft big, an injury prone 30 year old in Chandler, Booker who has 1 year left on his deal. I don't know anything about Kilpatricks game but I also know he has 1 year left on his deal.
Toronto makes out like a bandit dumping Carroll's contract and replacing him with Prince.
Brooklyn makes out good to, getting a 1st for Booker.
Pass, pass, pass pass pass.

I must agree. It's a lot to give up to construct a roster you probably could have put together anyway.

To Sum it up:
Atlanta out: Bazemore, Delaney, Dwight, Prince, #19, #31, and the Minny 1st
Atlanta in: Jonas, Booker, Chandler, Kilpatrick

This seems extremely light for Atlanta. They are essentially dumping Dwight and Bazemore and having to give up talent to go with it. I don't buy Booker or Kilpatrick being long-term answers or even short term ones at that. Their per is far from being off the chart and says that they are "average" players. I despise Wilson Chandler, probably in large part to the creepy neck tattoo he has.

That roster is no where near a playoff roster.

I think that's the point.

What's ironic, is that this is essentially what Ferry did when he first came aboard. Shipping out bad contracts and bringing in blue collar vets on more manageable deals.

(One major difference: he didn't start dumping draft picks and draftees for another year.)

That's not even comparable - moving Prince (lottery pick #12), #19, #31 to get rid of Baze and Dwight. We GOT Picks and expirings for Joe and Marvin - not sending out young players and picks. You are stretching adding Bebe. The more capspace to sign Millsap.

I suppose. But it's worth noting that LeBron and Carmelo didn't even sit down with us that summer.

They spurned us the way Kevin Durant spurned us last summer.

I love the dialogue so far, but I see, Howard contracts as Albatross for Atlanta long term. Also I really value Jonas Valcaniunius game. I think he is top 12 center for next 3 to 5 years, with an awesome contracts. In terms oF minnesota pick, it has a lot of protection place on it I dont foresee the T wolves being a playoff team any time soon.

I also Bascially traded picks for cap space. to keep them ultra competitive, nor did I overpay anyone with outrageous deals. so the going rate for a bottom rotation Top 9 seems to be around around 8 million, I just elected to sign 5 of them.

In terms of ZBO I think he is has special talent in the paint and worth a little more even thought he would be the third big on this team

On the other hand Chandler has great contract, and get be a professional scorer for Atlanta, also I think he is transition into small ball 4 something bazemore can not.

I watch a alot of basketball being NY metro area, and Kilpatrick does have making of starter, in this league. Trevor Booker, is the exact type of player that Coach Budenholzer would love to have. He has some great elements to his game.

I just don't see Atlanta trading Prince who started playing well and stuck in the starting lineup through the playoffs and 2 2017 picks for guys on expiring contracts.

this is Taurean Prince, not that impressive to me , I think long term I would rather role with Simmonds Bembry, Bojanovic, INgles, not see anything spectacular just yet? I can under why Atlanta like Prince, I think Bembry is better long term

You did bring in two guys I'm also interested in: Val and Teodisic. No reason to trade Prince.

Ingles is getting paid. He won't come here to be a end of the bench guy.

With that said, it's not about having eye popping stats from Prince. It's more about what he did on the court from an eye-test perspective. He can at least be a Otto Porter for us, and that's much more valuable to have.

I think more just another three and D guy, I like Bembry better, I had to move Prince so that Toronto could take Howard and we go get Jonas Valcincinus

A very cheap one though. If that's all he becomes, it's still a win. Glue guys help make the bigger pieces stick. Bruce Bowen is the definition of a 3 and D player, and you see how valuable he was to the Spurs. Danny Green is another one. Don't get me wrong, I think Bembry has a better skill set, but until he learns how to use it in the league, Prince will be more valuable. I hope both can actually stay and become cogs for a long time with us.

I see Deandre Bembry I see Gerald Wallace 2.0. Taurean Prince I see great role player, but not top 15 at his position, May be robert covington or his name sake tayshaun prince, I am not knocking him at all.

I love the dynamic of having Jonas V as your center of the future, and dumping Dwight Howard, creating serious cap space get two of those guys I offered, at Price of some picks and unfortunately Taurean Prince, he is classic of cap casualty.

Schroeder and Valanciunas dynamite excites me! and Taurean Prince can have a nice career but not more than 13ppg 2 apg , 5 rpg not sure he becomes a good enough three point shooter, and thats the big wrinkle of the deal, for both sides.
