That's just great. Although it is TMZ. I find it hard to believe that every single performer asked to skip the metal detector. Why would that many people care that they have to walk through a metal detector? I'm guessing (maybe hoping) that the ones that say 'granted' are really just the ones that walked through.

I would find it harder to believe every performer didn't ask to step around the detector.

They can't be bothered with being delayed 13 seconds while taking out wallets and removing jewelry and such. What are you thinking, macd?

I live in Chicago and had someone bring up the Danny Ferry incident last week.This stupidity needs to stop. I thought this crap would be over since we got new owners.

Samuel R. Hayes, a former security operations manager for the team, claims that he was fired because of his race. He also alleges that the team implements different security procedures depending on the race of the people attending the event.

"Mr. Hayes goes into great detail describing how black celebrities and event attendees were asked to go through security before entering the arena, while white individuals were often allowed to bypass the security line," Attorney Anthony Nguyen says. "Although the Hawks have called the claims 'baseless,' some of Mr. Hayes' former co-workers have confirmed the allegations are true."

"Additionally, Mr. Hayes claims that he was terminated from his position solely because of his race," Nguyen continues. "If this is true, it is clear that racial discrimination is pervasive within the Atlanta Hawks organization."

"This is not the first time that the Atlanta Hawks have been associated with racial discrimination," Nguyen says. "And unfortunately, if the courts do not hold the appropriate parties accountable for these discriminatory practices, it will probably not be the last time, either."

I don't for a minute believe this guy was fired solely due to race. Not with all the trouble the franchise went through during the Ferry/Levenson drama.

But the allegations regarding treating black celebs differently absolutely sounds plausible.
