Roster now set...

:D
With the new addition of Quinn Cook, PG, Hawks now have a full roster.

Some will go to our new team in the Gator Aide League, known as the G league. We no longer have a Development
League, known as the D League. Try not to get confused as I was

This season's roster is so new, players will be asking, when they have a time out, "Tell me again, what's your name?"

We have a starting lineup probably of Dennis/Baze/Prince/Ersan/Dedmon(or Moose). We saw that exact lineup (w/moose) mount some comebacks last year. I'm just hoping we see some good hard play and hopefully we establish physical play.

This will be a transition roster this season. I expect Dennis to put up big, inefficient numbers.

I foresee Dedmon and Muscala playing well enough to warrant pay raises next season. Bembry and Prince will get all the PT they can handle.

Baze...will remain on the trade block permanently. Maybe he plays well enough to rehab his trade value. But I think we're stuck with him for another year.

Collins will start at PF no later than march.

Whoa, you sure you're ok with that? That's not too much hype is it?

Agree with your overall assessment though, however, I still expect guys like Dedmon/Musc/Belli to play well enough to trade (not get pay raises, from us).

LOL, I know it'll happen eventually. The last 6 weeks of a losing season seems the appropriate time. Especially if he's had months of tutelage with the G-League coaches and Hawks assistant coaches shoring up the weaknesses in his game. (specifically defense)

And yeah. I predict Muscala and Dedmon will opt out next summer for more money elsewhere. Which is the best case scenario for all parties.

Projected salary cap expected to rise by only $4 million to $103 million next year. How many teams will have capspace?

I agree with everything except the last line. I don't think you can keep Collins out of the starting lineup that long. I know he's a rookie, I know Bud loves vets, and I know that his defense is supposedly suspect, but this kid is different. He starts by Xmas imo if not earlier. We shall see.

Hawks need to put biggest salary in starting five to make their value improve. I always think Baze is an horible contract (Not a bad player but i never understand how he could have this contract) but at least, let's make him play 30mn, put his 16ppg if he could and maybe move him. Same things for Miles Plumlee and his double double opportunity. If Hawks could get a good opportunity for a good rookie contract or a cheap salary against Belli and Ilya, take it. But this roster lack of everything and this transition his hard to see.. Too many soft player and you could be sure this team will be last in rebounding this seaosn, except if Bud put a real plan on that.. Dedmon is a shot blocker mind first, Muscala is a false C and without joking, i could see Baze maybe our best rebonding player... It will be hard to see... Get 20 wins will be a goal

You're thinking goes along with Jack ODonnell @ CNN/SI who projects a 23-59 record. The more sports writers I read,
the worse record the Hawks seem to have. At least this one is 10 games above the 13 win season from a few years ago.
Personally, I believe we will come close to 40 wins.. But, I'm always optimistic.
