It's here - pre season game one today !

Dang it all. Here it is, mid afternoon and the Hawks game one is scheduled for 6 PM.
What can we find out about the game? Where is the preview? What is being said about the game?
Nothing. That's all. Nothing.
What we do read, in place after place is, Dennis S. has been arrested. Our own man child has all
the ink. Apparently, nothing else matters. Will Dennis play? Will he be there at all? Are the other
players on either team healthy?
Who knows. Who cares. All that matters is, Dennis has been arrested.

Letter of the rules state that a player
can't be disciplined before a resolution of their case but there is some wiggle room for teams for "underlying" issues surrounding the case. I don't remember any other late night issues involving Schrew where that would be applicable and there's also a double jeopardy clause where a player can't be punished twice for the same crime.

Well that didn't take long. At least he contributed a basket to his Hawks tenure.

Observations:
Baze....bleh, still doing too much.
Prince...nothing memorable
Dedmon...He'll be good
Illy...doing Illy things
Dennis...can still get to the rim with ease but he got his shot blocked a ton. Did an ok job passing the ball. ZERO turnovers.
John Collins
I would like to see more Quinn Cook less Delaney.
Bembry needs to be back soon, we need another ball handler.
Moose....dissapointing.
Dorsey was ok.

Didn't see a lot of pace in this game...lots of space but we lack players who are comfortable handling the ball. Collins made some nice cuts but players missed him, never saw him at all or pass was late ir too low.

One issue to keep an eye on regarding Collins:
He struggled defensively in college and was foul prone as a first year player.
JC's 5 fouls in 20 minutes last night lends some credence to that concern.
Side note -- It's nice to see that the Jenkins-Budenholzer feud is still going strong after all these years.
