This is our last preseason game - Are we playing our typical rotation tonight and starters or are most of the starters resting?
We play Dallas in the regular season opener.

I think the starters will play first half. I don't expect them much in the second. I'm ready for Marco to play.

If you're in Atlanta go to this game if you can. Just buy the cheapest tickets you can find because you can sit anywhere. I sat right behind the Hawks bench on Monday. It's a rare opportunity to get up close and hear everything going on.

What juicy tidbits did you hear last game?

Well not that much really. My hearing isn't great. LOL. Bud had a few laughs with Chalmers but i couldn't really hear that. A couple times Fizdale would argue a call Dedmon would tell him why he was wrong and Fiz would just ignore him. Guys chew a lot of gum. Marco looked super bored and dying to play. Bembry and Dorsey i noticed would check with Bud a lot on plays to run.
I don't know if it was noticeable on TV but it did get a little chippy. The coaches both yanked guys who were starting to get into it but in a regular season game it would have gotten pretty physical. To answer your question though there wasn't much non basketball chatter that i could make out.
It was a great opportunity to explain to the kids how screwed up a world we live in where Chandler Parsons makes $100 million. And remember i'm saying 'with all due respect'

I saw the chippiness on TV. And I though it's a pre-season game. But that's good for this young team.
We need some personality and toughness on this team.
Just cause everyone else think we'll stink, I'd still like us to be a never back down team.

Noteworthy because:
A) JC is in at Center again
B) JC is in with the scrubs again
C) No Dorsey? No Bembry?

I guess Dennis thought he wasn't supposed to play in the 1st half either, he was not engaged at all.
Budenholzer said the plan was for Schroder to play one half (he logged 18 minutes). “He played in the European championships and played a lot this summer. I think it was good for him. He played a couple more minutes than probably normal in the first half and then let some other guys play the second half.”
The 3 point defense was gawd-awful, here's Bud's explanation...
Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said some of the open threes were a function of his team working on specific regardless of the action the Mavs ran. “They got loose a little bit on some things that to some degree might be expected. And then there were some three-pointers where we weren’t just staying attached enough. It’s an area where we we can certainly improve but there were some things they were doing that made us vulnerable to threes.

This was Bazemore's best game of the preseason.
A controlled Baze is an effective Baze.
Get your value up son!
