You don't like dunks???? First the fat neck thing and now this? There's only so much I can take in one day.

Lol, pay no mind to mac-d. I love dunks. He's riding me cuz I said ' John Collins is trying to posterize everybody and missing or sometimes he's not in the best position to do it, somtimes an easy off the backboard layout will give him the 2 points.

Just like cagey-one tried to say I hated Jarret Jack, mac-d is puling a fast one.

 Dont worry I agree with your philosophy..it's very spuresque and duncanesque of you and as George Costanza says ...I dig.

Have the ability to do it...but use it for necessity not a show like Smoove..

Mac D pulling a fast one ...smh that's 2 today..

On November 2nd 2007 the Joe Johnson-led Hawks (I still miss Joe) beat the Dallas Mavericks in the season opener.

That was the year we snapped our playoff drought and began a run of 10 straight playoff appearances.

This year, when our playoff streak will probably snap, we play Dallas in the season opener again. Things come full circle.

If we're the worst team in the league (like all dees eggsperts say we are), then DAL is going -2 and 84.

:D

Well, dang. That sure messes up things for those fans hoping for an 0-82 season for Atlanta, doesn't it.
Also, ruins that 0-5 road trip we open the season with.

WOW !! Dallas just kept taking, and making so many of those three balls. Dennis, among others, did well
for this team. Someone looked at both teams and said, "Dallas is better at every position than Atlanta." -
When our shots fall, better look out for our baby Hawks !! Our 1st place Hawks !! Enjoy it while it lasts !

GO HAWKS !

This team is so fun to watch! With this W maybe we can go 3-2 during this road trip.

Schroeder is going to take the league by storm this year, he has free reign and creative control to do nearly anything this year.

Bellineli could finally be our Korver replacement. Not only is his shot silky but his passing ability and decision making impressed me.

Collins is going to be so fun to watch. His activity around the rim is refreshing to see and he's going to be good for his own highlight film this season.

Other interesting stats:
As a team only 13 Turnovers
Dedmon - 3 Blocks but 4 TOs
Prince with the double double, 10pts/10 rebs
Dennis played 34 minutes, followed by Bazemore at 27 minutes.
The Rook showed out - 16pts/5rebounds/1assist/2 steals.
Bembry had a nice block at the rim.
Prince with a game saving bock on a 3.
Baze was under control for the most part.
Beli, Beli, Beli - lol, he loves to shoot, he was on tonight. What i like about him is his ability to handle the ball and run the offense.

Nice win to start the season. Close game and Hawks executed down the stretch.

Dallas with 45 3 attempts - my word.

The Hawks system make them better than they should be otherwise, hell they might be fighting for the 8th seed in a year where they should be terrible. :-?

I dunno why I'm not that surprised. Ball movement and players knowing their roles just wins...waddya know..we look young, fast and ready to run. Kudos to everyone tonight. Dennis with the big night for sure. Loooooved the blowbys on DSJ. Prince with his tenacious D...Collins looks like a skilled crafty mobile big guy. Loved the 2 man break with Collins finishing from Prince...I yelled THATS OUR FUTURE!

Gettem Hawks!!!! Let's go!

Ps Only guy who seems a bit lost was Ersan...he left Mathews wiiiiide open on a play from the corner and I was yelling at the tv ...

Overall A+ start for me.

Takeaways:
-Prince is still a mess when handling the basket. Final product might be a larger Kent Bazemore.
-Loved Bembry, especially on defense. He needed more minutes out there.
-Delaney is horrible; Muscala also.
-Dennis was good but he can do so much more.

Overall optimisitc.

Dennis looks like an All Star..... starter!

Prince played good and he was really the glue guy for the Hawks, kind of like how Draymond is the glue guy for the Warriors

JCol looked like a rookie of the year candidate and a safe bet for rookie first team

Dedmon looked good, he basically impacted the game on the same level as Dwight, but with a much better contract

Big story of the game was Belinelli!!! If Beli can keep playing like this, the Hawks should be able to trade him for a mid to low first round pick by the deadline!

Return to Atlanta Hawks
