Kings, Hawks mired in dismal starts

The Sacramento Kings may be just the opponent that the Atlanta Hawks need to get their first home victory of the season.

The Kings take a seven-game road losing streak into Wednesday night's game at Philips Arena and have lost 10 straight in Atlanta.

Sacramento's 3-10 record this season is slightly less dismal than Atlanta's 2-12, but the Kings' futility in Atlanta at least gives the Hawks a historical edge.

Both the Hawks and Kings are in rebuilds this season and victories have been as hard to come by as expected.
The Hawks, who have at least kept most games close, made 39 3-pointers during a three-game road trip that concluded Monday in New Orleans and still have nothing to show for it.

The two worst defenders in the NBA, per ESPN RPM, will be guarding each other tonight. (Pictured above)

Should be interesting...

Dennis and Fox being the 2 worst. Damn Jamaal you're making me go look stuff up today. Dennis being the worst doesn't pass the eye ball test to me. I'm not saying he's good but the worst in the NBA? There are much worse defenders on the Hawks much less the whole league.

Agreed...there are plenty of guards worse than Dennis..Fox is a rookie so he almost gets a pass. I honestly think defense is about heart, desire and not being a weenie. Lol. #princeofAtown

It's a known fact. Many NBA teams play up or down to their competition. That's been the story of this year's
Atlanta Hawk team. Think back. How many games have been blow out losses? Maybe one. All the others,
regardless of the opponent, have gone down to the wire. Sure, we continue to end up on the short end of
the stick. Example: Last game, Hawks lost by one point.

Kings come to the Bird's Nest tonight. They, like the Birds, have a terrible record and it's questionable which
team comes out on top tonight. Then, there is the question, do we come out on top by winning or losing?

Are the Hawks supposed to lose every game? Or, could it be possible, on rare occasion, to win? We should
have our answer by the end of tonight's game.

Kings have lost like 10 straight at our place. Having said that we are obviously not the same team of the last few years. Play hard, play the right way and let the chips fall where they may.

Ps If Zbo and Hill get significant minutes we might be in trouble.

Looking forward to Dennis showing the rook how it's done...though not your ordinary rookie in Fox.

Also looking to see how Justin Jax plays if given minutes..he was a guy I wanted for us in the draft.

GO HAWKS!!! (Again I love have more chances in the lottery but at the end of the day I have no control over it and like GM said..we have to win one every now and again for pride).

LETS GO HAWKS!!!!!

we simply started every game like that so far by missing every 10 or something shot. Then won 3 of them coming from early deficit. So I dunno yet :)

Let me ask something, why Ilyasova is coming off bench?? Last year, he was doing ok for Bud (with a different lineup of course).

He has been out with a knee injury (has only played 4 games). This is his first game back, so he'll be eased back in.

Delaney is better of the ball, playing to his strengths-scorer as opposed to masquerading as a PG.
I knew Babbit could shoot from 3 so that's no surprise, it's his ability to put it on the floor and drive is surprising.

Well, that's the worst offensive performance I've ever seen. Even though, it's early in the season, Dave Joerger looked weird with coaching decisions, I would like to have Bud running Kings.
