The Detroit Pistons included a home victory over the Atlanta Hawks in a five-game winning streak during early November that had them off to a 10-3 start.

It is nearing mid-December now, though, and the Pistons come to Atlanta for a Thursday night game mired in a seven-game losing streak and a deep funk.

The Hawks (6-21) might be just the opponent the Pistons need to end their losing streak.

The Pistons' 111-104 victory at Detroit on Nov. 10 was part of a 2-12 start by Atlanta. The rebuilding Hawks are 3-9 at home while posting the NBA's worst overall record.

Would be a good idea if one of the coaches could point out to Babbit that he should at least **** jump a little or make a move like he WANTS to block a shot, aint nobody worrying about that raised hand if youre standing on the ground knowing you have ZERO interest to block the shot. What kind of defense is that..

Tough game all around....Collins is back and had a couple of really good highlights followed by a couple of nots. Belinelli shot well and got hot in a stretch...got bullied by Drummond. Positive note: more balls lol

I hate blowout losses at home. Idc if we're tanking or competing, at least be competitive.

Miles Plumlee is one of the worst NBA players I've laid my eyes on. Dude wasn't even able to catch the ball tonight, and he should not be getting mins over Cavanaugh.

John Collins at least looked good.

Many, many years ago when I was a teen ager, one thing that was popular was a riddle. In honor of this
breath from the past, riddle me this:

Tell me, how can this year's Hawk team go from good to terrible so fast?
How can this team end the first quarter with the score, oh, so close,, only to sleepwalk through the next quarter?
Remember the Cavs game? End of the 1st quarter, Hawks were "right there." 2nd quarter, a blowout.
Ditto, Detroit game. Hawks down by one to end the 1st. Detroit gained 12 points in the second.

Players, in the 1st quarter, can hit their shots. Team can score. These same players, come the 2nd quarter, can't.
From hot to cold. It's like someone turned off the light switch and the players were all suddenly in the dark.
Yeah. I know. Tank. But, come on. Make it look reasonable. All the players who could, suddenly can't.

Start one game. Can't get into this game until late in the 4th. What's going on? He had the biggest + of any one
when he did get in! Guess I have a hard time understanding "tank." By the way, when do we play the Bulls?

Hawks team, and Bud, should leave town with a red face - - after this game. They have their next
game, that back to back, to see if they can continue this farce of a season.

AIN'T LIFE AS A HAWK FAN WONDERFUL !

How long til the draft?

We just have to muddle through this year. I firmly believe that next season we will be competitive and probably even fight for the playoffs. It's a long season and losing will get you down. No team can go the whole season playing really well but still losing. At some point the losing screws up your mental game.

I'm with you Gramps! It's really painful watching all these losses...doing it for the greater good of the team makes is a bit less painful but how much more of this medicine. We are used to a decade straight of playoffs....:-(

We see the Bulls twice more, both times we host them. Saturday, Jan 20 and Sunday, March 11 are the matchups dates.

The draft will be here late June ...but the lottery is in May!

HAWKSSS!!!!

Can you imagine going through all this losing just for another team to benefit with your top lottery pick. :noway:

Poor Brooklyn fans.

Oh myyyyy...(Dick Enberg)..

I couldn't ...poor BKN...

A few things would make me stop being a Hawks fan in life...

1. Hire Billy King as GM (ever...now..in 10 years)..
2. Trade for Demarcus Cousins
3. Selling prized first round picks in multiple drafts for the next 5-10 years...smh

Actually I don't think I'd ever stop being a Hawks fan but those things would really question my team.

Is it specifically trading for Boogie? Or acquiring him by any means?

I don't know...I'd prolly say the latter. I was having dinner with some friends last night (Warriors fans)..and Cousins name was brought up...in not sure if it was the anger of ordering Salmon vs wings but I kinda lost it and even told them that if the Hawks acquire Boogie I'll end my 33 year fanhood..

I'm not sure what it is...he makes me sad when I watch him play. I'm not sure it's the negativity, the drama or the incessant whining..

I guess I was brought up in a different era where basketball seemed super fun and carefree and guys like Magic, Zeke, Nique and Hakeem were truly playing a backyard basketball game for the love of the game...

I don't see any of that from Boogie...I guess we had the likes of him back in the day in sir Charles but even Barkley didn't whine as much as Boogie.

I refuse to blame Billy King for the Nets debacle. That was clearly a mandate from ownership.

I will only blame him for refusing to quit once the mandate came down.
