Memphis Grizzlies vs. Atlanta Hawks Game Preview
The Grizzlies have a great opportunity to end losing streak against tanking Hawks
If you love ugly basketball, you’re sure to love this matchup tonight! The Grizzlies, who have lost 16 of 17, go up against an Atlanta Hawks team that has been even worse than the Grizzlies this season. The Hawks will be coming in town to play the second night of a back-to-back giving the Grizzlies their best chance at a win in recent memory.
The Hawks really don’t have much talent outside of Schroder and Bazemore, but the Grizzlies have allowed Taurean Prince to go off on them before, so anything is possible.
It’s also Star Wars night for the Grizzlies and they are playing The Force Awakens after the game, so even if the game sucks you can stay and watch a free movie. #smallvictories
Scouting Report: the Grizz need to play big as the Hawks aren’t great on the interior. They’ll have John Collins back from injury, but outside of him Marc and JaMychal should be able to feast on the trio of Ilyasova, Plumlee and Tyler Cavanaugh. The Grizzlies should also be able to create some mismatches and have their guards attack the Hawks bigs. If Tyreke Evans is healthy enough to play, him and Gasol should be able to get whatever they want against the Hawks interior defense.

Gee. Scouting report makes us look bad. True Hawk fans know how hard it is to look this bad. We're not.
Just driving our players in our big old tank, we just rumble along.
If we run true to form, Hawks will play their "real" selves in the 1st quarter. We will have a very close score.
Then, to open the second, watch us sleepwalk to allow Memphis to pull ahead. If they have a hard time scoring,
Hawks may send down only their two guards on defense, playing 2 on 5, to make it easier.

Yep. To make it sound bad (as it is) just leave out "and Gasol." Now it reads: "him should be able to ----"
Being the word police is bad, but, come on man. They made this too easy!

It's kind of like listening to Lebron speak...

Would be an ideal L for the tank. Grizzlies are losing too many games for comfort and are just 2 games ahead of us in the standings rn. It would behoove us to help the Grizzlies get back on track.

Whew! That was way too close. Hawks might have won this game if the refs hadn't swallowed his whistle.
This tanking can get on one's nerves. Two points behind with only seconds left, Hawks attempted a shot
from the corner. Jump shooter came down on the defender. Can't do that. Shooter must have room to
come down. No call. The game is over. Hawks hang on to last place!
Bud still has Cavanaugh in his dog house. He didn't get to play - coaches decision. Don't know what he's
said or done to earn this punishment. But, as well as he has been playing recently, this probably insured
the final outcome for Atlanta.
Week end off while Hawks plan how to continue this. We all hope that this next draft pick is worth all this.

I don't get Cavanaugh not playing?
Has he exhausted his 45 day NBA stint on his GLeague contract?
Babbit looked injured last night, why not play Cavanaugh?

Just finished watching the game...a bit sloppy..we were in it till the end but blew a 3rd quarter double digit lead. Dennis needs to hit that one free throw late to go up 2 instead of one..
GO HAWKS!!!
