Hawks travel to Toronto in search of third consecutive win

A stiff test for Atlanta

The Hawks are improving, and will surely have confidence in facing the Raptors. Toronto needs a win against what should be a weak opponent to get back on track.

The Hawks are better than their record. They have a decent balance of veterans (Ersan Ilyasova, Dennis Schroder) and talented kids (Taurean Prince, John Collins, a skilled rookie big man who will be formidable in a few seasons). I’m not a Kent Bazemore fan, as he’s barely average on either side of the ball. They will need to develop a serious shooting guard so they can relegate this fellow to their second unit.

Toronto has dropped two straight (yes, this is a bizarro world) to the Mavs and Thunder but, in general, the Raptors have been fantastic this season. It is nothing new that Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and company would produce at a high level in the regular season but, this time around, Toronto is operating with a more pleasurable offensive product and, to this point, they are defending at a high level.

I feel like we've never been effective at stopping Derozan.

Toronto's always been a difficult place for us to play. The fact that our guys have to hop on a flight immediately after the game and fly down south for another game tomorrow night has been our schedule this season in a nutshell.

Dennis should have a field day in the paint.
erge Ibaka has been suspended by the Toronto Raptors for one game.
Ibaka and a member of the Raptors' staff had an altercation after their game on Dec. 27th in Oklahoma City.
Ibaka will miss Friday's game against the Hawks.

Am i wrong to now openly root for TOR to, in typical TOR fashion, totally fizzle out this postseason and for Casey to get fired?

Based on him "f-you"ing Budz after he yelled at the TOR rookie for dunking late in the game instead of just running out the clock.

I don't feel like I'm wrong for that ...

Eta: Ok, ok ... we've talked it over and the cooler heads in my brain have prevailed. We don't wanna see the guy fired. That was an overreaction. Just don't mess with my Budz.

If Budz wants to be babied next time we will do that. Maybe a pat on the head after the game. 50/50 ball. Our rookie's momentum was going to the basket. So he took it. If you lose, you lose. Don't lash out. Jmvho. Peace out.

You lie. There was nothing "very humble" about that opinion.

No babying, just sportsmanship.
Toronto had an issue with Lance Stephenson doing this exact same thing last year, same with Gerald Green a few years ago.

What lance did, was not the same thing, not even close...OG stole the ball with 21 seconds left, while the hawks were running a play...Lance got a pass from PG at the end of the game with 8 seconds left, also Lance isn't a rookie.

I think it was a young player in my boy...well..X boy now OG..(I know Mace if he ain't a Hawk I don't root) just going for the play without thinking of the situation...the unwritten rule of not stomping on your opponents head after you beat them. Don't have too much of an issue with the play, however I do have a question...how immature is Dwayne Casey? You stick up for your player yes, but take a second to access what happened 2 seconds ago before F bombing the entire Hawks coaching staff...lol..from their GM to their coach...anger management might be needed up in WE THE NOTH....

Dwayne Casey isn't a rookie coach either. He's been around a while and knows the unwritten rules. He needed to realize this before F bombing Bud and the staff. IMHO

I'd take Coach Bud in round 3. Casey talks a big (immature) talk, but the silent ones like Bud are often the most dangerous.

I agree, I was just pointing out the difference between OG and Lance. I have never seen Casey act like this, at least not towards coaches. Bud also said FU lol probably after Casey dropped the F bomb a few times
