Minnesota will try to improve on their 1-6 road record this month and their 2-6 road record against Eastern Conference teams with back-to-back road games against Atlanta and Toronto. The Hawks have the league’s worst record (14-35), have lost three straight and three of their past four.

Players to watch:
G Jimmy Butler returned Saturday after missing four games with a sore knee and had 21 points, six rebounds and five assists. Fellow All-Star reserve C Karl-Anthony Towns had 16 points and 19 rebounds — 10 of them on the offensive end, a career high. Backup PG Tyus Jones scored 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter. … G Dennis Schroder leads the Hawks with 19.6 points and 6.4 assists per game. Six other players are averaging 10.6 points or better. F Taurean Waller-Prince is averaging 12.4 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Numbers: This is the first meeting between the teams this season. The Wolves have won four straight vs. Atlanta after dropping 15 of the previous 17. This is the start of the Wolves’ 10th set of back-to-back games this season. Minnesota is 4-5 in both the first and second games of such stretches so far.

I hate John Wall, his sad looking face makes me, well sad. I'd love to beat them but I'd rather tank.

I wanted us to beat the Wiz but since Wall is out might as well lose for the tank.

John Wall sitting gives Beal more freedom. Like DirtybirdGA mentioned, I expect him to torch us, and score 40+. Wizards are favored to win by 5.5 points.

:)

Favored by 5.5 points! Will everyone get really excited if Wizards win this game by exactly 5.5 points! This is
going to blow our mind when this happens - - Just think, we will then know how they got that .5 point!

Warning: Hawks, trying to tank, seem to always play well in those second games of a back to back game. Since
the Hornets happened last night, things could be interesting tonight..... On the road again - in the east. Hawks
do not do well in the east.

On the bottom of the NBA, all alone. So many teams just above us, waiting to pounce any time we mess up
and win. We want to win these games so bad! We want that high draft pick so bad. Between a rock and a
hard place, aren't we.

I also hear the Hawks may break out a different uniform tonight. Will our tank run well tonight? So many
things going on.

Great crowd on hand tonight and the team couldn't look more indifferent out there. Idc if we're tanking, show some damn effort out there. At least do it for the people who spent their hard earned money to watch this game.

Dang! Morris, coming into tonight's game was hitting 70% of his shots. Tonight, he's 6 0f 8 and 3 of 3 from downtown.
Wizards have hit 10 of 17 from behind the arch. Atlanta has hit 5 of 21. Bet that Morris would like to play Atlanta
every game.

Looks like our tank is running well tonight. I hate the losing, but, oh well. I suppose it's for a good cause. (Draft)
I just hope, in the end, it's all worth it, don't you!

Morris came into tonight's game hitting 70% of his shots.
Tonight, he hit 75%.

Wizards hit 18 of 32 for a 56.3 % from behind the arch.

We sure made them look good tonight, didn't we! - :banghead: :banghead:

Five well placed lawn chairs could've played better defense tonight. This is the first loss in a while where I've felt legitimate frustration. That's back to back home blowout Ls.

Winning days can't get here fast enough. On one hand I know that it's only half a season into a full scale rebuild, but on the other hand I'm legitimately terrified of going through another season of this.

We made it easy for Washington but that's what tanking does.
Washington probably looked at the game as a good step to work on things and they played very well John Wall out. John Wall has possibly hit his ceiling after his performance last season and during the postseason.
