Well....Hawks tried to give the game to the Knicks. N.Y. had a lead, late. They gave away that lead.
Ref's gave Bazemore only two foul shots when it was obvious that it was a three point attempt. They
corrected their error. Baze, who had missed the first two, hit #3. This correction also negated the two
points that the Knicks had made after the error.
Momentum went to the Hawks here, leaving the NY boys out in the cold.
We tried. We really did. New York Knicks just didn't hold up their end of the deal and the Hawks left
with the win. Oh, well. Get this tank serviced after this and back to the battle. Note: Hawks big men
held their own today against the giants of NY.

Darn Knicks. Did all they could to give it away with the missed FTs and with one of the stupidest shots I've seen all year by THJ after he rebounded Zinger's missed FT. Very bad win, although I am happy for Baze.

Stupid Knicks.
Also, seems clear Pozingo needs us even more than we need him. NYK will grind him into the ground tryna force-feed "supahstar"ness to him.

Just when I thought Baze was driving the tank with him missing about 6 shots at the rim, he hits a game winning 3 to put us up by 2. Smh.

Great showcase by Baze! Having him in the spotlight only ups his value. 1 more game before several players are traded...I hope.

I get that this game was early in part due to the Super Bowl, but why do we consistently play so many Sunday afternoon games in NY?
There's no way this is just a coincidence at this point...

Hornacek is definitely a goner this summer if they miss out on the playoffs again.
Even if it is in the best interest of the franchise to garner one more lottery selection.

Mike Cunningham wrote:Dennis Schroder (2-for-16 shooting) was blowing by slow-footed Knicks counterpart Jarrett Jack but couldn’t finish at the rim. Schroder also missed open teammates several times while trying to force shots in traffic or shoot over bigs. At least Schroder’s defensive effort and focus were pretty good. But his struggles shooting 3’s continued: 0-for-4 today to drop to 53-for-189 (28 percent) on the season.
He’s on track for his least-efficient shooting season since he was a rookie.
Mike Cunningham wrote:Collins had a rough day. He wasn’t strong with the ball and made some suspect passes (three turnovers). Collins had just two defensive rebounds in 22 minutes. His lack of length showed up while trying to defend Kanter (10 points on 10 shots, three offensive rebounds) around the basket and challenge Porzingis’ jumpers on the perimeter (though, in fairness, even long defenders have trouble with the latter).

I swear I remember Hardaway doing exactly the same thing for the Hawks. Chucking a rebound late in the game when he should have run clock. Anyone else remember that?
I saw a lot of disbelief on twitter about the 3rd free throw but why? If they give Hardaway the bucket then what stops anybody from just rebounding the non-last free throw and running down the court with it? What difference does it make that everyone followed? He basically just played a dead ball.
Knicks are really bad but they have to own up to the fact that they don't have enough talent. Hardaway is destined to be a streaky player his whole career. The rest aren't really starting calibre players outside kristaps.

No fluke! It's really OK. We won and climbed off the bottom. 24 hours later. Orlando won and left us, once again,
on the bottom of the NBA east. You can't make this stuff up. It's real!
Side note: 53 hours away is the trade deadline. Seems that everyone, almost, is trying to sell. The few teams
that are open to buying have so many options. What if no one wants to deal with Atlanta. We just keep all our
roster, intact, and go from there.
Minor deals may or may not happen. Major moves seem to be slim. Still, who knows. We will just wait and see.
