I ACTUALLY APPROVE OF THIS. I was upset years ago when rookie PG D Schroeder was benched by Budenholzer in favor of journeyman Shelvin Mack.

But we today need a steady hand, a veteran quarterback, an experienced backup PG to run this team when DS sits or plays poorly.

This is a solid acquisition.

Despite what Nique wants y'all to think, this isn't Shelvin Mack. It's Sheldon Mac, formerly named Sheldon Mcclelon. He's also out for the year with an Achilles injury.

I feel like you set me up with the title of this thread...

Change this bad boy to make it a Hawks Trade Deadline thread so we can have a centralized location to ponder what the acquisitions of Sheldon and Okaro mean for us...

or complain about the lack impactful activity.

Atlanta Hawks reportedly acquire and plan to waive Sheldon Mac

A quiet deadline ends with a whimper.

Shortly after initial word broke, Michael Cunningham of the AJC clarified that the Hawks will be waiving Mac, who is out for the season with an Achilles injury. He also noted that Atlanta will receive cash from Washington and, by necessity, will send a heavily protected second-round pick that is wildly unlikely to even convey.
