Hawks also will get the 19th pick instead of the 18th. How in the world can the Hawks lose both random drawings? I fully expect to have the 7th pick after the "random" Lottery drawing. :banghead:

It happens. IIRC we won the tiebreaker with Memphis last year to pick 19th, where Collins fell into our lap. You win some you lose some.

The difference is us losing 10 ping pong balls in the drawing of 1000, and having a 1% chance of falling to 7. We'll only really feel this if the top 4 stay exactly as it is (unlikely, from a statistical viewpoint). I'm not trippin too much over it.

Very low % of 3 teams behind us getting into the top 3. I don’t think it’s ever happened before.

I’ll see your 2 and I’ll raise you one....

With the 1st pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Atlanta Hawks select...

We only lost 1 ping pong ball combinations out of 1001. DAL gets 138, and ATL 137 (instead of 156 and 119 they normally give to 3rd and 4th worst record)

Now, if there was no stupid wins in the end of the season, we could have get 156 or more than that...

Winning that incredibly meaningless game in Boston is much worse than the result of this coin flip, absolutely. That one was infuriating, and had the Magic not won their meaningless game against Washington would have turned out even worse for us.

The coin flip loss was meh, minuscule differences after the damage had already been done.
