It only took me 17 years to get to 5,000 posts

I wanted to save this post for the Hawks board. I didn't realize how close I was until someone mentioned it here.

I came to realgm after espn.com shuttered their message board system. I miss the old espn boards, there was a great deal of trolls or idiots (Shawn Rocker was famous for both) but Jason Walker convinced me to try this place out. Later on he convinced me to try out Hawksquawk as well.

It doesn't really feel like it was 17 years ago that I started posting at this place which was then still new. I have enjoyed talking with you guys and gals for that long and it still feels fresh and welcome. I hope to be here for at least another 17 years. I don't know if its a record to take 17 years to get to 5,000 total posts at a place but this is a marathon not a sprint. :P

The Soth's got something to say. That's all I got to say.

Lightweight, you can hit 1,000 posts in any number of "The Hawks should be relocated to Seattle" threads on the GB alone.

But congrats to you, Soth. Kind of amazed though since you're pulling double duty on two team boards though

Has he said good things about cagey on the other forum? #longliverealgm (if they break down though I start my own hawks website and Brad and his minions can’t stop me even if he denies to be Brad).

I don't think soth or ma$e are allowed to say k, g, 0 or 1 in a sentence there or face a stiff bann. :)

If you start a Hawks-site I'll be your 1st member but only if I get immunity for future bad acts. 8-)

Nice try, soth. One step in and *wham!* ... 5,000 posts later it's, "Aye man, y'all remember that kg01 cat? He was a jive a** turkey, right?"

Kidding. Yeah we know. Lethal popped in around that time so we all danced on the grave together. A good time was had by all (no, not really).

That doesn't stop the squawk jokes though. :)

As usual, burd brings perspective to the discussion. @soth buried the lead here. Dude got 5 thousand posts while only having a smartphone for like the last 8 months or something.

Most of them posts came on a desktop he had to crank up with a weird, lawnmower setup that'd make MacGyver jealous!

Amazing.

More like Cobra Kai ...

I remind him of his failed foray into karate as a pre-teen.
