You put way too much stock in what ajc writers say.

Being in the BB Writers HOF means (a) he's been employed for a long time and (b) he has enough friends on whatever the nominating committee was. It's not like they have to take a test or something. I bet if you ask him to breakdown a play or a prospect he wouldn't be able to do it much more than you or I.

Perhaps. I just know that local sports writers do have contacts within organizations for every team. AJC doesn't report rumors, innuendo and limit articles based-on 'off the record comments'.

But as a guy who lives 700 miles away, I acknowledge they hear a lot more than I do and often keep that info close to the chest.

NOte: Jeff Schultz is b@llsy as hell. Having gone toe-to-to with Koonin in the aftermath of the Ferry fiasco and being one of the few (only?) local guys to ask Budenholzer point blank if he was leaving after the season.

I think, in theory, they have all these sources and info they're sitting on. I don't think that's reality for these guys based on the content of their articles. It's like they dip a toe in where the really good ones take swan dives.

Got it.

Good grief. You hate him we get it. We're sorry you feel 'jilted' by a guy you wanted gone. I don't. I don't think anyone else does. How can you be jilted by someone you didn't want. "I told my wife to leave then she JILTED ME! Can you believe this?"

Bradley knows next to nothing about the NBA. Budz playoff record is actually pretty good. We never lost to a team that we were better than. I like how Bradley complains that the teams we beat ONLY had 46 and 48 wins and it took us GASP 6 games each. WTF?That's something to deride? Give me a friggin break.

I don't hate Budenholzer. But I am incredibly alarmed at the loyalty this guy seems to have from you guys...considering he turned his back on your favorite franchise. MID-CONTRACT

He didn't leave to be with family, or escape the rigors of coaching.

He left because he doesn't care about your team. He took the money, his assistants and went to a worse franchise.

And the response is...

"I'll never be mad at Budz."

That's mind-boggling. The man is Teflon because he beat the 8th seeded Nets and the Wizards without John Wall.
But you got what you wanted, I guess. You and Jay wanted to see him coaching a real star player. And now you will.

Enjoy rooting for him next year in the ECF.

As far as Bradley, yeah. I guess. I mean, he's in the Basketball Writer's Hall of Fame. But, I'm sure he knows absolutely nothing about the sport.

You've lost it man. "he left because he doesn't care about your team"??? What is this a middle school party? He left for a whole variety of reasons. The biggest being THEY DIDN'T WANT HIM TO BE THE COACH.

I'm not saying you have to like him but the idea that he abandoned the team is ludicrous and the deal he cut to basically be fired was more than fair to the Hawks.

As far as Bradley goes. See if you can find an article prior to this where he said Bud isn't a good coach for this team. I realize this would mean sifting through thousands of articles about UGA spring football.

MAC.

I don't hate you.

And I don't hate Bud.

I am always...alarmed when anyone is placed above reproach.

I think you and Jaybird deserve better than what the last guy gave us.

I hope Lloyd Pierce gives us that.

This is a nice, unbiased write-up on Bud:

Five Questions with Peachtree Hoops: Mike Budenholzer Breakdown

Sitting down with an Atlanta Hawks expert to dissect what Bud brings to the Bucks.

The Milwaukee Bucks are finally headed in a new direction with coach Mike Budenholzer, but what exactly will he offer this team going forward? We already broke down a point/counterpoint from our perspective, but thought it would be more useful to go straight to the experts over at Peachtree Hoops for their input. Jeff Siegel from their staff was nice enough to answer our questions. Jeff also joined Eric Nehm on today’s ever-listenable Locked on Bucks episode too.

"Nothing has felt more right" :sour:

Press Conference was today. I'm guessing this is the bball equivalent of checking out your ex on Instagram and seeing them with their new 'boo'?

Did we every find out what his salary is with the Bucks? Wasn't it reported that we would only have to pay the difference.

No that is just his face.

He would make a really good ambulance chaser, used car salesman, or politician.

THERE'S the fan backlash I expected weeks (months?) ago.

His exit from this franchise was less than stellar. And emerging weeks later with a supposed better job certainly doesn't help.

I at least hope we get more competitive playoff basketball as a result.

I want to see Celtics - Bucks next postseason more than any other matchup in recent history.

How dare you guys speak ill of the great Budenholzer. We were lucky to have ever been in his presence.

He is the greatest coach in the history of competitive sports and you guys are better for having rooted for his team while he was here. All of us should move to Milwaukee just for the chance to get a glimpse of Mr. Budenholzer at work. Perhaps he'll give us a passing glance on his way to the bathroom. Our lives would be better for it.

I'm serious guys. The criticism is hurtful and it paints the entire fanbase in a negative light. You should all be ashamed.
