Seriously though, he can't be my top pick if that's true. I suspect you'd hear similar stuff about a lot of OaDone'ers though.
I GOTTA be HONEST, HEARING this MAKES me more LIKELY to CONSIDER DRAFTING him.
He clearly has the skill, he just doesn't have the teaching/experience yet to fully utilize it. 2 years under a top player development program, he could be a diamond in the rough...same as Sekou.
Nassir Little is someone who I wasn’t high on at first. I think he’s got a ton of room for growth and checks all boxes athletically.
If we can’t trade up for RJ, Nassir Little is probably the wing with the highest ceiling in the draft.
Compare his freshman per 40 with Kawhis freshman per 40. He blew all his interviews out of the water. He’s All Academic ACC. This kid could be great.
Immediately, you get a force on the break. I think that part of Littles game will transfer immediately. He’s a very good rebounder too and will be a coast-to-coast type guy.
He’s likely going to be a plus man defender as he learns team concepts and improves with experience. Big time potential here. All Defensive caliber potential.
The biggest 2 questions about Little are his shooting and ball handling. Shooting is an area I am optimistic Little can improve in.
Ball handling is what is going to separate him from being a improved version of Harrison Barnes versus baby Kawhi. It’s not guarantee someone who’s not a good ball handler will become one. The fact that he’s so raw leaves some hope.
