A big welcome to coach Pierce. Glad to have a coach who's happy to be here and who's on the same page as our front office.

Next couple of years will suck, but if we can get to the other side with a generational talent (like the Sixers) then it will be worth it.

I'm stoked about Coach Pierce's reputation with player development.

I just hope that we're in a much better position to max this rebuild with Ress / Trav / Pierce than we were with the BK / Woody and whoever was owner. i was excited about that rebuild too and the only thing we got from those drafts was Horf.

He’ll be a great coach for a rebuilding team. Seems like a very good player’s coach. But definitely Bud is a more winning coach than Lloyd.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

The ownership made that rebuild nearly impossible imo. I know alot complain about ressler meddling honestly I haven't really seen him doing anything except saying he will meddle at first, then reneg and stare he will keep out of basketball decisions..the asg were an absolute mess.. also BK's draft mistakes were too costly. You can't rebuild through the draft, if you keep screwing up your high picks

We can’t miss again...not on a top 7 pick. We have to nail this puppy down.

I wonder if Nash could be in play for a development role down the road.

I still maintain the 2020 off-season will be launch off period from the rebuild. It's a time with deep money and an abundance of young talent to set sail with.

That's great to hear that we got it right. I think this is like the 4th time in a row we've gotten it right so that kicks ass.

Let's go Schloyd!

Did they also say we got it right when we got Lon in 2001? I guess that was about 4 coaches ago...oh boy..

How romantic...

I have no idea if LP is a better coach than Bud, but it's clear he has a better relationship with Trav.
Spoiler:
I imagine this is why we seemed in no hurry to participate in the coaching search earlier in the summer. We already had a front runner in mind.

Seeing this outpour of support for the new guy is really encouraging. Even getting support from rival players.

It's helping to ease my anxiety about the new era we're entering.

Just heard Coach Pierce on 92.9 doing an interview, about 5 mins ago. Seems like a very genuine guy.

As for the basketball side of things, he talked about the importance of the 3-point line. Emphasized especially that they'll try to get John Collins to shoot 3s at both a higher volume and a higher clip. Same with Dennis Schroder.

Coach Pierce (radio interview) on:
John Collins - impressed with his atheticism, ability to finish at the rim, very high efficiency from there, now need to add to his game to expand his range, got to 5% of his shots from 3, needs to up that percentage.

Taurean Prince: didn't know he was such a prolifuc 3pt shooter, knew of his toughness in college.

Debbis Schroder- impressed by his ability to get to the rim with ease. Needs him to work on his 3 point shot and midrange when lane is blocked off. Take those shots with confidence.
