Braves are still in rebuild mode. Yet, at the beginning of the day, they are in first place.
Their second baseman was the youngest player in the major league. He is small. He's tied for the home run lead.
Then they called up their starting left fielded who is younger than the second baseman. He didn't get to keep
the title of the youngest long because they called up a starting pitcher. When he pitched, the Braves had the
three youngest players in baseball, all on the starting nine.

What can we expect of our Hawks this upcoming season? Like the Braves, they will be very young. We already
have some youngsters coming back and we now have all those draft picks. Last season, we rode our tank into
the sunset. Bud couldn't take the pressure, so he left for greener pastures.

Our new head coach has just come through a rebuild with the Sixers. What can we expect? Dare we hope they
follow the Braves example? I know. Right now, we don't even know what players we will have. Still, we dream...

Agreed Gramps. Braves are doing awesome and the Hawks would be wise to follow their lead. I think the Hawks rebuild might be more of a Houston Astros rebuild, but I’d take either.

What exactly is the Braves system? They signed two top international players, traded for more youth, kept their young stud during their rebuild, and traded for even more youth.

Pitching. That's the Braves system. Defense is necessary for good pitching and the Braves rely on their defense.
And, timely hitting must be added to the mix. This means getting that timely hit with runners in scoring position.

For the Hawks, hitting the three ball with regularity. Rebounding, limiting turnovers, crisp passing and, for sure,
hitting their free throws. Add good defense, inside and outside and you have the winning formula. All you have
to do is have the players capable and willing to do all this!!

Ship has sailed on embarking on a Braves-like rebuild. The Braves traded all of their "star" players other than Freeman and Teheran for prospects. They made sure that they wouldn't lose Heyward and Upton for nothing in a season.

The Hawks, meanwhile, lost their major pieces for nothing to free agency already.
