Lakers are a big team. This is gonna be a tough match-up for Trae. Hopefully he is out of his shooting slump.
Anybody else think Lin should be the starting SG over Bazemore? Having a true secondary ball handler would definitely help the starting lineup.

No. Hawks already have a defensive problem, no sense addimg to it.

Nice to see Lin make a lob like that again.

why does this coach take trae out even when hes playing well ,very odd substitutions

Another horrid 3rd.

They still can't figure out the 3Q. No Hawk unit has played well, no Hawk really played well in the 3Q.

Great game by Trae so far, but the Hawks don't need the win if Hawks fans really care about the draft

Tough loss but great game by the starters. The bench was pretty useless tonight.

I'm still mad that Trae got blocked on that last shot, that was so close...

Trae was super impressive. In a couple of years when we surround him with more talent he'll really be lethal. He was cooking tonight when the Lakers weren't doubling him over and over again, and even when they were he was using his superior vision to set others up.

In the end, it's a tough luck loss by one point, but I really do wonder what Kent Bazemore is doing - tied at 104 with 1:34 remaining, he gets a technical foul. I get you're frustrated but my goodness you have got to be smarter in that situation. Lakers get an extra point off the T, and we lose by 1.

Agree on all counts.

Rayford was masterful in that 4th, especially when you consider he's just a rookie. Absolutely ate Lonzo and Rondo's lunches, comically. And let's not ignore the fact that he put Lebron in a blender on skates before getting to the rim on an even more controversial non-called goaltend by Tyson Chandler.

I do believe the last one was a block though. I'm still pleased with the play. Didn't settle for some step-back, got to the rim and was an inch away from a ballzy, cluuutch win. Future looks bright.

On Baze .... c'mon, man. First of all, by rule, because the guy's foot was planted ... it technically wasn't a kick ... IIUC. That said, I've never seen that not called so I get the frustration. Still, everybody ... including the refs ... knows you don't get a T late in the 4th in a close game. The zebras were jaundiced all night but even they don't want to give a guy a T in that situation. Baze must've earned that one which is plainly unacceptable.

Totally worth staying up to watch live. My work productivity may suffer though. As a result, some-a ya'll may be missing cheese on those orders, btw.
