Trae is a good shooter but not an elite shooter like Curry. Curry is an elite shooter because of many factors, but one most notable is his ability to put a high arch on his shot whether it be from the line or 10 feet behind the line.
Trae's arch on his shoot is too shallow to my liking, and when he takes 30 foot jumpers, his shot flattens out a lot because he is working for more distance than height and accuracy. This causes the window on those long threes from Trae to be alot more narrow.
If you look at the videos below, just look at the ball when Curry shoots and when Trae shoots. When Curry shoots the ball goes out of the top part of the frame when the ball as at the top of its arch, then falls back down into frame because his arch is so high. While if you look at Trae, the ball always stays in frame throughout the whole shot even at the top part of the arch. Case in point, Trae has to fix or focus on his arch.
With that said, I do like Trae's shooting mechanics and form. He has good hand position and grip when going into his shot, he has a good release point, he keeps the ball above his eyes before going into his shot so the can see the rim, his shooting elbow is nicely tucked in and gives him a relatively compact shooting stroke. But i do wish she shoulders were alittle more square. Overall its very good and i think his shallow arch can be fixed, especially if he does weight exercises with his wrist, and gets more strength from his wrist and triceps.
