Foul trouble. He still should've had more touches in the 4th quarter though.

Yes, Foul trouble.
The Selts adjusted their defense on Collins and our players weren't moving enough without the ball to free up the lanes for John.

Might as well just wait for that hefty fine and suspension he is going to get. He swung at Bembry with a ref right there after he was told to leave the court.

We were putting on a clinic for a while there. That was fun to watch at least.

I'm mobile, but someone on the general board posted that Smart threw up the "C" as well during the game and it was caught by ESPN. Does the NBA fine/suspend him for that as well?

He's not the only dummy throwing up gang signs in the NBA. Pierce got fined when he directed one towards Horford in 2008, but I don't know if anyone else has been since then.

Hawks win this game if Trae and Taurean play well. Besides that, the Celtics had another gear that they could go to that the Hawks just could not hang on with. Hope the young guys learned something from that.

Hawks win if they hit open jumpers.

This was one which I really wanted to win. We seem to be locked into the 5th worst record so it's safe to root for a few Ws here and there, and a home game against Boston is always on my wishlist.

Trae was awful tonight. So many missed shots, so many turnovers, and he really shot us in the foot in the 4th quarter. I'm incredibly worried about the turnover numbers continuing to pile up -- he had another 6 tonight.

Huerter was incredibly hot to start and then cooled, as seems to be the norm for him lately. He's still showing me a lot of promise and I love the confidence he's developed throughout the course of the year. Even if you're struggling, just let it fly.

John Collins had 12 points in the first 8 minutes and then had 3 more points for the rest of the game. Foul trouble or not, the fact that our best player is only getting 7 shots in 28 minutes of playtime is absolutely egregious and unacceptable. He went 5-7, and I have no idea how Collins, his teammates or the coaching staff are ok with the low shot output. He needs to be putting up at least twice those amount of attempts.

:banghead:

Hawks exploded! Then, for three quarters they fought off Boston. Between foul trouble and illness, JC had a poor
game after his hot start. Trae's flu like illness drained him in the 4th. In the 4th quarter the Selts tightened their
defense and the Hawks went into their sleepwalk mode.

Shots that earlier went in refused to. Instead, they rolled around the rim and jumped out. We see our youth maturing.
This team is looking better and better. We're not there yet. Not yet but we're gaining on it!!

Special Monday afternoon game coming. If our boys don't get the flu bug, expect a great game....

GO ATL HAWKS !!

Tough loss.....more celts fans than hawks fans, but not as bad as other years. Or maybe it was that they were mostly silent up until the 4th quarter.

Speaking of flu, it's awesome to not cringe while listening to Stinger and Andre! Glad they're feeling better!

I wanted this one bad too. But good entertaining competi-tank, ran out of gas (flu?), 5th is safe for now. About that: I've been thinking on the 5th place thing and something dawned on me: fairly comfortable cushion over/under where Hawks currently sit at 5. That position being unique in that the Mavs' pick is top 5 protected. If their season turns south and Cuban decides to pull the plug and head for bottom 5 to keep the pick, Hawks are sitting right there at 5th as gatekeepers of 5th and that draft pick. Setting a hard screen. At 3rd they can't keep the Mav's out of top 5, at 5th they essentially can. Unless Cleveland, Phoenix, Chicago, and NY get stupid. I can't be the only one who thought about this. Don't think this happens? See Ressler cussing out Bud last year. Probably starting a new thread on this one.

Is it me or is Alice aging before our very eyes? Is he injured?

That missed clutch layup was the stuff of legend.

Also, my heart bubbled with joyful giddiness at Seeees fans lamenting Horf's rebound allergy. :)

Maybe Alice Whorefart ripped another titty.
