Hawks Draft "Party" Redux!
I liked Cody Ford and I totally get it. Would've been cool to move up (or tank down lol) to get in on the D-Line run (Sweat's condition too much of a risk) but getting a very good BC guy to be an interior force for the BC guy makes enough sense.

I believe they could have traded back a few spots and still gotten this kid
I don't dislike the selection, but it's really hard to get excited about an offensive lineman in the first round of the playoffs.

I was at the Benz tonight but left before we selected and made it home to watch it. OL men never excite people but Matt Ryan took a beating.

Ayyyy double your pleasure!
I don't need both rookies in the starting unit (we paid a lot of offseason money on incumbent and new OL guys), but I do expect McGary to compete for a spot on the opposite side of Lindstrom.
As for D-Line, here's to another Grady-level talent in the 4th/5th Round (or later, idk!)

May have to check in on Azu, the Giants might be pushing him passed the bottle straight to the needle.

Matty needs the protection.
Now, we can focus on other areas, so I look forward to the defense improving.

All that talent on offense is wasted behind a bad OL. I can't say what kind of value we got out of our picks, but if these two guys can make a difference then I'm fine with the strategy. Hopefully we have some 4th and 5th round magic for the defense.

At the end of the season DQ said only Jake Matthews and Alex Mack were the only keepers on the OL.
Need to keep Matty upright and give him more that 3 seconds in the pocket.
Hope they are the right picks.

Not just for protecting Matt, but we need to improve our run game too. There have been so many games in the past that we could not put away because we were unable to hand off the ball and get first downs or convert third/fourth and short opportunities.

Lions fan here:
Wanted:
Ed Oliver
Josh Allen
Devin Bush
Devin White
Got:
T.J. Hockenson
Our offense needs help. But wanted to pair Jarrad Davis with another crazy LB or shore up the D even more but I guess this gives Stafford another end zone target.
My grade: C (not so much a knock on Hock, just the fact that there were a couple guys still on the board that I wanted before him).
After taking Brandon Pettigrew and Eric Ebron in the first round, hoping this TE lives up to the Iowa TE reputation lately.

Falcons draft was anti sexy but I think if you’re committed to Ryan/Julio/Ridley/Freeman for the next 3-4 years you’ve got to put together a O line that’ll make it work.

Giants GM is looking like a hot pile of garbage right about now. I’ve never even heard of Jones..

I liked the Falcons' moves. Now get Holyfield and let's beat up some teams.

Yes, the run game needs major improvements. Freeman being injured didn't help but someone must step up and we loss Coleman.

Jones was possibly going to be a late first round pick but Drew Lock has slipped out of the first so who knows regarding Jones.
The Giants could have easily traded down so I'm not sure why they didn't.
Jones wasn't even recruited out of high school.
