Peachtree hoops review on Trae

Post#1 » by reazun » Mon Apr 29, 2019 6:26 pm

Did anyone read the season review on Trae from Peachree Hoops?

No mention of his Rookie of the Month honors, or his Player of the Week honor. Over half the article focused on his bad shooting in Summer League and November. Then another 1/4 of the article was about Trae's lack of defense. There were a few potshots on Luka being better also...pretty weird. I know alot of people on Twitter were mad about this, but yall are the more astute basketball types (basically yall have a higher basketball knowledge imo). Do yall notice this as something reoccurring with Peachtree Hoops? I feel like our fanbase needs to grow, but if our local media has such a sour attitude, that is a hindrance imo.

whats yalls take

I've been calling Roland and Siegel out for years...Looks like they have infected the entire group now. I am glad they kicked that God awful Lock on Hawks Podcast off the site

That article was pretty terrible. Its focus is just wayyyy off. Trae put up historic numbers that don't even get mentioned. Focusing on the game by game description during his struggles and missing out on so much of the season is just bad writing. It is fair to acknowledge his struggles and shortcomings but not to the point where you largely overlook his overall progress and achievements.

Any suggestions on good Hawks coverage? I was following peachtree and Rowland but I kind of hate them and this article points to why. *back to lurking*

This is like an old Diesel hit piece on Marvin Williams. No mention of any positives but embellish the negatives to a ludicrous degree.

Trae needs to work on his defense and shot selection. We know this. We also know he's a budding superstar player because in almost every other facet of the game he's shown superstar level ability.
