Am I the only one that thinks Prince is better than Reddish?

Hey guys, just joined. I live 2.5 hours up the road from Atl in Greenville, SC and have always like the Hawks. I see a lot of people wanting Reddish, but living in the Carolinas, I literally saw every Duke game this past season and I'm not getting the Reddish love....at all. He's a good shooter, granted, but he doesn't take over games, doesn't drive to the hoop, doesn't rebound that well, doesn't get others involved and takes a lot of plays off, just floating around. I think Taurean Prince is better in every way. Here's what I would do, package 8, 10, Huerter and Bazemore for Bradley Beal. Surprisingly, he's still only 26. A Young/Beal backcourt instantly becomes top 5 in the NBA.
PG: Young
SG: Beal
SF: Prince
PF: Collins
C: Len
Bench of Spellman, Bembry, Vince, Poythress, Dedmon, Plumlee and Anderson. This to me is a much better team than Reddish and Huerter. What say you? Thanks

Right now Prince is better. Prince has just about reached his perceived ceiling though. I don’t like him as the long term option at SF either. I also agree with all of your criticisms of Reddish. I don’t think either would be best case scenario long term. You kind of just have to HOPE Reddish performs far beyond what he showcased at Duke.

But if you can land Bradley Beal by giving up Reddish Bazemore and Huerter a Beal, Young, Prince trio to me is superior to young, Huerter and Reddish. Beal put up incredible numbers this past season and teaming him up with young would create an incredibly dynamic backcourt .

Isn’t Beal a FA soon ?

Beal is signed for 2 more years. It'd be a "win now" move, but I would not package Heuter and two lottery picks for him. Moreover, the ceiling of a Young/Beal/Collins core is about the 2nd round....with Beal walking in a couple of seasons for greener pastures. I'd consider part of that package if we were closer to contention.
I'm not high on Reddish. There are players projected much lower than him that I like better. However, he does have potential and that's what you're looking at in the top of the draft. He has enough potential to spend a lottery pick on and see how he pans out.
As for the picks themselves, again...we're not ready to start making "win now" type moves. That is exactly how rebuilding teams get caught in the losing cycle. It's also how guys like Joe Johnson and Victor Oladipo end up slipping through the cracks.
Patience and timing.

But these lottery picks are part of what many consider to be the worst draft in years. I don't think you realize just how good Beal was this past season: 26/5/6 this past season, 48% from the field and 35% from 3. And even though you say it's a "win now" move, he's only gonna turn 26 in June. And why would he leave in 2 years? As long as Shlenk keeps building the team correctly and playing with the best, most dynamic young (pun intended) pg in the league, plus the Hawks could pay Beal the most $$$, why and where would he go? Answer me this as objectively as possible, which starting 5 looks better to you:
Young
Huerter
Reddish
Collins
Len
or
Young
Beal
Prince
Collins
Len
To me, it's a no brainer.

What's with the Beal love like he's an all NBA player now?

This was his statline from this past season:
26/5/6 this past season, 48% from the field and 35% from 3.
How many sg's put up better #'s than that? Plus with the Wizards in rebuild mode, I'm sure they'd move him for what I was proposing; Baze, Huerter (who went to nearby Maryland), 8 and 10. It would help them with the rebuild giving them 8,9 and 10 in this draft plus a young sg to replace Beal.

The number of bad team all stars in the league is at an all time high. Wonder how those numbers match up with the ultimate bad team all star Devin Booker?

Beal is an injury prone player that has always dissapeared on playoffs due to injuries. While I can agree he is good, is not a good fit for Young on the backourt, I prefer to keep Reddish or Hunter and Hayes and Huerter than Beal. I am sorry but Washington has been horrible on his best season.

I'd rather Huerter and two top 10 picks than Beal.

Like what GM would trade basically 3 lottery pick since Huerter's redraft position is #10 for a player like Beal? This is just insane!

Man I can't believe how many people don't see value in Beal. The dude's 25 and just dropped 26/5/6 this past season. There is zero chance than any of Reddish, Huerter and who they pick at 10 will ever put up those stats. The dudes a top 5 sg.

Lottery picks are theoretical players until they actually post stats. None of those players will become what Beal is. I can't believe how much you're sleeping on him. Oh well.

Let me ask you this question.. What did OKC get for Hardin? I'm assuming you understand that Hardin is a much better player than Beal.

I can appreciate your passtion for Beal, but you don't know what any of these players can turn into. You might want to look at Bradley Beal 's usage to get those numbers.
Not saying that he's not good, I just think you have to consider the amount of wins those numbers contributed to.

I hear ya, but it's not his fault that he played for a terrible team. That's like sighting +/- as to whether a player is productive or not. I just think that a Young/Beal backcourt can be a top 3 backcourt in the next few years and the chance to get him is actually quite possible, but as the saying goes, "you gotta give up something to get something" and I think Reddish, Baze, Huerter and #10 are worth Beal, but apparently I'm the only one.

Technically Reddish is a 2 at the next level and Prince is a 3. You should be comparing Huerter/Reddish (FYI both can play 2/3). Prince is not a 2 and can't be a two. He doesn't have handles.

Not when he was traded he wasn’t. No one knew what Harden would become. We know that Beal puts up 26ppg

Man, if Reddish is an sg in the NBA that makes it even worse. Why draft an sg when you drafted one last season? Plus he’s not athletic enough to guard guards.
