This kid was my favorite prospect from than 2019 draft class. Word is, we almost traded up to #3 to grab him.
He’s looking like a rising star...finally.

This is a foolish amount to pay for a league average Center who projects to be a role player on a bad team. Even if it's over a full 5 year period, it's an overpay.
John Collins RFA contract offer will also be be crazy big.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to sign Jarrett Allen to a contract extension worth $100 million or more, according to Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Allen is eligible for an extension this offseason and would otherwise become a restricted free agent in 2022.
Allen averaged 13.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks in 30.3 minutes over 51 games with the Cavaliers following his trade from the Brooklyn Nets. Via Terry Pluto/Cleveland Plain Dealer

Lebron doesn't realize all injuries aren't self inflicted.

On the other hand, cap holds don’t do Miami any good if Miami wants to sign-and-trade for talent. Any sign-and-trade would require the Heat to stay below the apron (about $6 million above the tax line), and that could prove difficult. Sources tell The Athletic that Nunn could get offers in the $15 million a year range and Robinson perhaps even more, especially if he can burn all the tape of him guarding Khris Middleton.

Miami swept unceremoniously.
Herro was the bubble darling, he hasn't been good all year.

That have some decisions to make this offseason and must fix their problems. Things can change for the good or bad with one offseason.jayu70 wrote:Miami swept unceremoniously.

Odd man out? Cleveland going to trade the guys that's been the most vocal about Cleveland's issues....which is Kevin Love.

Two NBA people I respect suggest the Cavs trade Sexton. One likes him a lot, one is lukewarm. But their point is the team should only sign Allen (a restricted free agent) to a $100 million deal. Because of the Love contract, the Cavs can’t pay Allen and Sexton tons of cash without crushing the salary cap.

The Orlando fire another head coach.
Tim Reynolds: “By mutual decision” is the new vernacular for firings/dismissals/breakups, etc., but I’m told that in the case of the Magic and Steve Clifford, it is an accurate description.

Interesting.
This seems like a move you only make if have a better option in mind. It's also interesting that it comes a month after the Magic's season ended.
I'm wondering why it took so long for this decision to happen? What has changed in the past week happen?
I'm guessing their going after Ainge...Or Stotts.
