Interesting. I thought Memphis would look for someone with more name recognition but i don't know who that is.
Man Valeciunes must be pissed he got traded mid-season of the Raptors run to the finals. Wonder if he'll stick in Memphis. Will anyone?

A full 10% of teams in the NBA are now led by Bud disciples.
(Can we consider Quin Snyder a Bud disciple considering his short tenure in ATL?)

Why hasn't Darvin Ham gotten a shot?

Quin’s my favorite out of the entire bunch. Has that Ray Liotta “don’t know if he’s gonna rip your head off or break into a hysterical laugh” edgy vibe going.

Indeed. TOR are worthy champions.
But might the Raptors be looking at a rebuild as soon as next season?

The west just became wide open. Does more western teams join the AD fray and try to win with a 1 year rental?.

Yeah, you'd have to think the bidding on Anthony Davis (and Brad Beal) will hit a fever pitch now.
MIL, BOS, HOU & Lakers each have a clear avenue to win a title immediately.

Klay Thompson's injury will force the Warriors to rethink next season
What does Klay Thompson's ACL injury mean for his future and the Golden State Warriors?
Golden State's front office won't have much time to lament the NBA Finals loss and heartbreaking injuries to Durant and Thompson. With the NBA draft a week away and free agency a week and a half after that, the Warriors must soon get to work figuring out how to replace two of the league's best players.
I suppose it's possible that Golden State might look at next season as a one-year break from the emotionally and physically draining pursuit of championships. But that prospect seems unlikely with the core of the team save Draymond Green (29) in their 30s. Each year of late-prime Stephen Curry is too valuable to let go to waste. A step-back season also would be a tough way to open a pricey new arena in San Francisco.
Assuming Thompson re-signs, Golden State would likely be limited to the taxpayer midlevel exception (projected at $5.7 million) to add free agents for more than the veterans minimum. And the Warriors would somehow need to find new starters at both shooting guard and small forward -- or at least someone capable of playing big minutes at small forward if veteran Andre Iguodala starts there, given Iguodala's age.

I believe Toronto will keep him.
Washington appears to be ready to do what it takes to turn things around.
I expect Beal to be moved and they will do their best to rebuild.
Toronto won't rebuild.
Obviously a lot depends on Kawhi Leonard returning.

Ryan Glasspiegel: Windhorst’s ‘understanding’ is that the Warriors still ‘intend’ to offer Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant five-year max deals, which would push payroll with luxury tax to about $350 million

"Why we should probably be persuaded that the Lakers trade for AD is already done, but just not yet made public in reverence to the coronation party for the Raptors."

This feels like the closest thing to loyalty that you'll find in the NBA.
And it could absolutely be the move that dooms GS for the final years of Steph's career...

Sounds like we should anticipate a LAL/NOP trade announcement anytime after lunch time on Monday.

The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN.
