1) Schlenk is a huge believer in either RJ Barrett or Culver, most likely Culver. He was willing to give up 8,10
2) Schlenk is not a huge believer in Reddish, Hayes or Sekou
3) There may have been some luck with Kevin and Collins at 19, I don't believe Schlenk anymore when he said that you can find talent anywhere in the draft when he's willing to give up TWO lottery picks to move up to grab a player who's not even a homerun type prospect
4) We have too many picks
5) Its hard to trade a current draft pick for a future draft pick without a lot of protections
6) Unprotected lottery picks will be almost impossible to get given the recent lottery results
7) There's no one other than Draymond who's an interesting UFA in 2020 when we have cap space
8) Our best chance to land a star in FA will likely be to build the winning culture and trade some picks and prosects for that star (Kawhi, PG, Butler trades etc)

Re: Pre Draft thoughts
With all the trade rumors, this is Schlenks opportunity to make a name for himself.
He’s accumulated all these picks. Do we trade up in a weak draft, do we settle or package picks for future assets or absorb dead money....the opportunities are endless, but I have faith in our GM because he can judge talent. That is key! Hope he sticks to his drafting philosophy “dribble, pass, shoot”. It’s an exciting brand of basketball.
