Loved Hunter when we drafted him but his play on the court this year has impacted winning quicker than I imagined. Basketball folks always talk about the experience of winning a national championship and how much maturity it brings, Hunter is showing that to me this season much like Horford did in 2007 after winning back to backs at Florida.

I recall him watching vividly from the sidelines last year from the pine when he wasn’t playing and he seems to take a lot of mental notes.

Keep it up D. Hunt.

More on Hunt. I had a feeling he was watching.

I watched a lot of film during quarantine,” Hunter said in early December. “Just tried to watch guys I’d probably be guarding. You know, learn their tendencies, things like that. I think I can be a lot better on the defensive end. I think I probably focused more on defense than anything.”

Plenty of second year players and young talents are having games like Hunter. The problem is they just tail off some and don't keep their numbers consistent. Fantasy basketball players know this very well.
I absolutely live what Hunter is doing and I believe he's a future all-star, but I want him to stay consistent.

This guy makes me smile. I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure if we reached or not at the #4 spot when we drafted him. Since I’ve seen his progression I’m really happy we got him. I see a really mature kid who puts in the work to get better and it shows on the court. He has a quiet way of going about his business and gets you a bundle of points without noticing he’s putting up points. Within the flow type of a team player whose a two way player.

Nice work Hunter!
